Cam break in complete and timing set. Ready for a cool down and valve adjustment, then some seat time to make sure everything is dialed in. Something sweet about the sound of a stocker! This has to be one of the cleanest cars we've had in the shop....with what was one of the dirtiest engines inside...lol!

Nate Jensen got his WOT built 1641 installed in his Beetle today!

"Work and life got in the way, but got it installed today, sounds like a dream, fired right up, and I cannot wait to get it out on the road tomorrow."

Can't wait to see him cruising! We love the white tins contrast along with a little chrome.

Managed to make it to Eureka Springs VW weekend with the buggy. Still have work to do and EFI to add, but had a great and much needed mini vacation!

Turbo manifold ends fabricated and installed. Tomorrow, we light the fire and break in the cam and start dialing it in before packing up to head to Eureka Springs.

A HUGE shout out to William Jones for literally hours of welding up my "less than perfect" fitting pieces. He really came through in a big way and I can't say thank you enough...maybe I'll let him make a pass in it when we get to do some track time tuning soon!

As we are reaching the finish line and coming down to the wire with getting the Punisher buggy ready for the 34th Annual VW show in Eureka Springs next week, it made me wonder. Who else is working hard to make this show? Or the Ohana overflow show, or even the Euro Rally Show (wish I could take the Audi too)? What are you trying to complete to make it?

If you've never been to this get together in Eureka Springs, AR you are missing out! Its a great time in a cool town in some of the most beautiful country you will ever see

Machining VW cam bolt heads for better clearance with the oil pump.

What do you do to insure adequate clearance between the oil pump and cam bolts?
