I've called three times to find out about getting a recall scheduled. Everytime I call, I'm told they're waiting on the Service Dept to order parts. Why can't the service department call or email and give me a time frame. I'm currently on hold with Hyndai USA Headquarters to see if they can get an answer for me
Great cars, unfortunately the staff who work there tells you lies in order to sell, I was told that if I came back after finishing my lease would not matter the amount of miles (they will covered) if I buy a car from them, so I went back to buy the car when I finished my lease and they told me that I had been fooled by the person who sold it to me and no longer works there, I had a very disrespectful treatment and not answered calls, Now I have a very bad deal thanks to them that I can't get rid off it, I do NOT recommend this location at all.
Worst customer service! We are from St.louis and we were heading to Galveston for vacation and my check engine light came on and had some other issues (mind you it’s been worked on 3 other times in the last 2 months for a recall). I called to talk to the sales manager since service was already closed and they were both busy. The receptionist took my info to have someone call me back. No one did in the 40 min it took to drive there; not being able to go over 60mph! We get there I talk to the girl at the desk who tells me she gave them my info and paged one of them to the desk. I don’t recall his name because I was so frustrated and upset. I explain the situation and he point blank says “there’s nothing he can do for us.” I asked why and that I know salesmen CAN put someone in a car. He again said no and I had to wait til Monday! Mind you I am at this point so upset and crying and ask if he can help us with finding a rental place or help getting a number. His response was the airport is 10 miles away you can go there! REALLY!!! I have 2 kids with me and a new car with a warranty that is messing up and you won’t help! Thankfully we spoke to some amazing men at Demontrond Hyundai who were more than willing to help a family out and gave us a car to use until service opens on Monday!!! SHAME ON YOU!
ORIGINAL POST-- NEVER EVER take a car to Humble Hyundai...they don't fix the problem and when you complain and ask for your money back.....they treat you like a stupid old woman and try to sell you a car. 1st fix that didn't work they charged me $526.00...(I'd asked them twice, are you sure this will fix the problem).. then when I took it back they said it needed a new computer and it would cost $6000.00 and a 2 month back order. When I asked for a refund the salesman tried to sell me a car, when I escalated to the sales manager, he tried to sell me a car, when I spoke to the GM, he tried to sell me a car. Reason they can't refund? Well the tech did what the computer told him to do - see above, the computer they then said needed to be replaced? I've spoken to the corporate office and the regional office, there is NOTHING they can do. The dealership is privately owned. So short of small claims, I'm just out the $526.00 and the rental cars and Ubers I had to use. The prior work ($900.00) that NTB did that also didn't fix the problem - they refunded the labor and shop fees - go NTB! Way to take responsibility. Good customer service!! Will use them again for tires and maybe oil changes -simple things. Executive Auto in New Caney finally found and fixed the problem for $281.00. They diagnosed the problem old style!!! They are the real mechanics. https://www.executiveautoservices.com/ UPDATE: On 5/7/18 Ken Krell, GM finally sent this response to my complaint of April 17th. "The Service Director is back in town and is investigating this complaint. In the mean time let me clarify what was offered that day without any knowledge of the details from my Service Dept.. The offer I made as the General Mgr. was not to take "$526 off of the sale price". This statement is incorrect. I stated that I would apply the $526 she paid in Service as a down payment on a new or pre-owned car. Since the vehicle is twelve years old and had over 140,000 miles on it this was a logical quick way to offer assistance. This was a fair offer at the time considering I did not have the full story on the old Santa Fe's issues. My Service Director, Tim Shipe, is reaching out to Ms. Goodman for details on $281 fix. Regards, Karl Krell" I'm not sure if there is a significant difference between using the $526 as a down payment or taking it off the sales price... but as usual they are exhibiting poor customer service. As of 5/26/18 Humble Hyundai has not contacted me about the repairs made any offers etc. The only email from them was an email from their SALES department about buying a new car. The BBB tried to close the complaint as resolved and I've told them the complaint is still active. They sent yet another email to HH..... I'd bet they will never respond...basically they are just hoping it will all go away.
Copied this is very dissatisfying when I went there I had no problems there is always two sides to a story but on a new car this is not okay I hope you do everything you guys can to make this right for her. Hello, my name is Mary. I’m a nurse that needed a new car that got better gas mileage and had more room to haul equipment. I owned a 45th anniversary edition Camaro. I did so research and decided that I wanted the 2017 Hyundai Veloster, specifically the Pacific Blue one. I went to the dealership 4-14-18 and started the process very excited about the car. They didn’t have the car there but there was one at another dealership in Humble and they were to have it brought over. I was very patient and sat there for hours. Which I thought strange at the time because the other dealership was so close but didn’t really give it to much thought at the time. They finally said the car had arrived but there was a problem with the screen. The salesman Ash assured me that first thing Monday he would order the part and have it overnighted and it would be fixed on that Tuesday so with that promise I took delivery of the vehicle. He also told me that he would call me and let me know what was going on. When Monday arrived I received no call so I called when I got off work just to hear that he forgot to even order the part. I believe the reason for that is they knew all along that the part had been on back order. I took the car back to them on that Monday I've had a loner car since then. This particular car was the only one in the area and they would’ve missed out on the sale of the car and the profit from the sale of my trade in which they sold very quickly. I believe that they deceived me to make sure they made the sale and get my rare car and now they are refusing to make it right. These people are crooks. I’m a hard working person and the way they are treated me should be criminal. I didn’t have all the information to make an informed decision. If I had known that this part was on back order I wouldn’t have purchased this vehicle. The fact that the say that they didn’t know is insulting. I couldn’t imagine that another dealership wouldn’t disclose that information to another dealership before trading. They didn’t disclose the fact that this part was on back order to me until 4-21-18. I’ve asked them several times to cancel the contact but they refuse. I feel like I’ve been lied to and purposely deceived and if y’all think that this is news worthy I would like other people to hear my story so maybe some else can learn from my mistakes and not be so trusting of what people say. That’s the one thing I’m guilty of is trusting that people are good but they will say and do what it takes to benefit their cause and to he!! Customer service and doing what is actually right. I’m not naive and I know it’s a business to make money but at some point the customer has to matter. Thank you for your time.
Dear Hyundai,I literally just picked up my car from the service department around 2pm(new alternator + NEW BATTERY).By 5 pm my car wasn't starting, and I was on the phone with triple A having to get towed. Meanwhile trying to entertain a 2 year as best I could, with little to no air. We spent over a grand when we picked It up, that is not the result we expected for the money paid. You'll be seeing us soon, just wanted to let you guys know how today went.
