The new 992 GT3R that Andrew so kindly presented to us 😂 is an amazing piece of engineering. We get to stretch her legs this week testing in Daytona!

A great return to the podium in Michelin Pilot Challenge series yesterday!
.
Brought our Cayman GT4RS home in 3rd Place in the 4hr race
.
My Co-driver David did exactly what we asked, kept the car clean and put us in the position to have a great machine to take to the checkered
.
Did my best to save fuel in the final stint and we managed to stretch it with a late caution.
.
Fighting for the lead with 5 laps remaining in the end we were conserving fuel and tires to make it last. Hard fighting at the front and just a fun race.
.
Super grateful for all the crew between Kelly-Miss and Archangel for the big push for this part time program. To go from a not so clean outing at Watkins to the podium this race is a testament to those guys and gals’ efforts.
.
Been a little quiet on the socials working away but wanted to share this fun one with y’all!

A couple days of testing/coaching in the 992 cup car.
.
The little things are really sets this car apart from others.
.
Inside the car everything is super well fitted to driver comfort
.
A nice fan that moves a lot of air in the cockpit, large screen that’s easy to read to name a couple
.
This has been an ever increasing part of race car design over the last few years as it seems when the driver is more comfortable (cooler, can see well etc) they drive faster.
.
No complaints here 😂
.
On the wing uprights there’s little hooks to hang the deck lid on so you don’t damage it by laying it on the ground.
.
I love when the little things are thought through like that, you know a lot of effort went into the design.

First week of 52 weeks down, hope it was a successful one!
.
One of the things I picked up last fall is diving into stoic philosophy.
.
Incorporating journaling this year thanks to has been a helpful way to reflect each morning and evening.
.
Here are my main takeaways from the first week of the year:
.
Things in our control: reactions to our own thoughts, other’s actions and situations we find ourselves in. Our daily actions
.
I have difficulty accepting the things I can’t change - this is a tough one
.
Our purpose in life is to be ourselves, letting go of the fear of what others think we are and understand who you know you are.
.
There is good in this world even when “bad things” happen. It’s all about our perspective.
.
I am learning and studying to better enjoy my short time on this earth
.
Every day is a new opportunity.

Will motorsports go electric?
.
Obviously there’s a lot of focus on decreasing emissions in the environment. I like to think that motorsports might be able to skirt that push.
.
Really though, motorsports is meant to be a place where the boundaries of what’s capable are pushed to the limits.
.
So part of the developmental process is going to be discovering what the capabilities of EV’s actually are.
.
I think there’s some other interesting technologies out there in the interim, Hybrid power and bio-fuels being a couple.
.
The motorsports industry does not shy away from change, but ultimately it’s about finding the maximum capability of the package given.
.
If that package is an EV, then your damn sure it’ll be a badass car.
.
.

Why are racing tires smooth?
.
Racing tires or “slicks” are meant specifically for dry weather use on race tracks.
.
They differ from a normal street tire most evidently in that the tread is smooth, versus having grooves.
.
When you talk about grip (friction), it’s determined by the stickiness of an object and how much of that object is touching something.
.
Racing slicks are softer than a street tire, meaning they are more sticky, and because they are meant for dry weather, they don’t need to channel water anywhere - hence why they are smooth
.
Pair these two things together and you get a stickier tire, with more material touching the ground, which helps the car take corners faster.
.
This is why racing tires are smooth.
.

When I was 5 I had my first fairly significant wreck in a kart.
.
Somehow I managed to flip this tiny little thing.
.
Based on my mechanical engineering studies I realistically don’t think it should be possible, but I made it happen!
.
I’m known for doing the impossible ;)
.
So I’m hanging out upside down in the kart not really sure what’s going on when finally the corner worker gets to me.
.
He flips me right back over, and off I go (I hadn’t let my foot off the throttle)
.
Finished the race with no issues!
.
Just like watching a little kid eat it when flying down a mountain - there’s not a lot of momentum being carried so when it goes wrong it’s not a huge deal 😂
.
In this sport I’ve found it’s not a matter of if it’s a matter of when you’re going to have an incident on track.
.
I learned from a young age resiliency is key to bouncing back and not letting the adversity deter your progress.
.
.

Big dreams are great, but are nothing without ex*****on. My days in the off season are a bit less travel filled, and more time is spent at home.
.
It's when I get to re-zone in on what's important and set up my habits for the coming year.
.
Those habits I’m working on to keep me heading towards my goals are:
.
Making new contacts each week, practicing guitar, studying Spanish, writing my posts here, exercising, running, and getting some social time with friends and family.
.
I think personally that perfect balance is never achievable - but striving to be well rounded keeps you rolling right down the road in life.
.
.

I’m back! Had a nice holiday with my family, sometimes it’s good to unplug. While social media can be such a force for good it easily can distract and pull me into trains of thought that don’t help in moving towards my goals.
.
I work to put consistent helpful and positive messaging/words in my posts. That will continue to be the case.
.
Today for me is just another day for gratitude. This year has some really wonderful aspects to it and some challenging ones as well. Both in my personal and professional life
.
Racing has a way of pulling you through the gamut of emotions in the blink of an eye. The nice thing in this sport is that races can come up so quickly so it’s relatively easy to jump into the seat and move beyond.
.
I find in life it can be a bit challenging to move forward sometimes. Things move fast, but also slow. The dichotomy of time is truly a mystery to me. When you want something badly time moves slowly but when you’re not paying attention suddenly it pops out of the dark
.
In driving there is a similarity. You look to where you want to go - it helps slow the time down when you’re in the seat. When you’re looking too close to the hood of the car, your mind almost can’t keep up.
.
Learning to switch this mindset off when it comes to daily life is hard for me! I’m so used to looking down the road to see where I want to end up that the beauty of the present moment often is lost in my eyes.
.
Last week I took some time to detach and spend it in the moment, seeing the beauty in the normal as well as planning for what’s to come.
.
Having done that, it’s time to finish out the year strong and bring that momentum into 2022, who’s with me?

11/22/2021

All smiles at the track.
.
For me in a car, at the track is where I’m able to be in the moment.
.
That feeling you get, when everything else fades away and you can focus on being 100% present
.
That’s what allows you to be one with the car, feeling the weight transfer, bumps in the pavement, how the tire grips the road.
.
While it’s a complicated process that’s all it comes down to.
.
Feeling where the limit is and taking the car to it.
.
.

Some shots from an awesome event a couple weeks ago.
.
Getting people out to truly enjoy their cars.
.
Love being able to share our mutual appreciation for all makes and models on the track.

Looking forward to our next one in the spring!

A good couple days in the Ozarks.
.
Not often you get to explore a new track here, and explore we did!
.
Elevation changes, blind corners, off camber, it’s got a lot going on, which made it certainly a challenge to pick up.
.
See what the future holds here, definitely going to be interesting!
.
Also were gifted with some beautiful weather, hadn’t been to this part of the ozarks before - gorgeous.

I may be all smiles off track…
.
But competition in any regard has always been my jam.
.
My friends can attest to me getting unreasonably mad over losing in a video game 👀😅
.
But competitiveness is just part of who I am.
.
I’m learning to control it and put it to good uses, that’s a different story.
.
This competitive nature shows itself in my life especially in fitness.
.
I’m always looking for new challenges and possibilities to push myself to be better than I was before.
.
1% each day compounded over a year is 37x better. It’s not the big jumps but the small progresses that make lasting changes
.
So I focus on how today I can be better that I was yesterday.
.
.

11/09/2021

If you’re going to go anywhere in racing it takes commitment.
.
There’s no half assing, no cheating your way through, whenever you’re on track you have no place to hide.
.
Getting determined to be the best I can be and figuring out how to make that happen is what keeps me focused on where I’m going.
.
It’s a daily battle. Sharpening the mind, improving fitness, making that extra call, it all adds up over time.
.
The 1 factor you can boil down to is a willingness to do what it takes - a drive to succeed.
.
.

What have you failed at this year?
.
I know, it’s not a nice thing to think about, however it’s a thought process that will stimulate growth.
.
Our fear of failure ultimately is what holds us back from making the steps forward in life we want to take.
.
So again, what have you failed at?
.
I’ll share mine with you so it’s not a one way deal:
.
A couple things I’ve failed this year a pass attempt that ended with me in the wall, I’ve failed an event planning, registrants were low and we needed to reschedule.
.
The crazy thing? I’m still here, you’re still reading the post, and I’m not going anywhere.
.
I’m learning through experience - It’s not about how many times you fail, it’s about how many times you’re willing to get back up.
.
I want success in business, my personal life, and motorsport.
.
Success looks different to everyone, however a common thread is determination, pushing through the tough days when you just want to quit.
.
When you get a text you didn’t expect, or a phone call cancelling a deal you had, it’s the ability to keep on keeping on.
.
Small progress everyday, I’ll be keeping it going, will you? Toss a 🤜🏼 if you agree
.

We’ve got the greatest country here in the US.
.
One of the few places in the world where you can aspire to be whatever you’d like - and get there!
.
I get frustrated sometimes when I hear of people saying otherwise. You can’t do something because of xyz thing that’s holding you back.
.
If you think something’s going to hold you back, it will.
.
Just because YOU think something might hold you back, doesn’t mean it will for someone else.
.
If you live in the US you’ve been given an opportunity that’s not afforded to 90% of the world, don’t waste it complaining about stupid little bs.
.
Get out and do the work!

11/02/2021

You’ve gotta have big goals in this sport.
.
Complacency is the route to the back of the field, which is the route to being off the track.
.
Each time I hit one of my goals, winning a championship, racing in a particular race, I set the next goal, it keeps the forward momentum going and puts that challenge on my mind to keep working hard.
.
I’ll share a little secret here.
.
My aspirations - which could take some time but will be completed, are 24h Daytona, 24h Nurburgring, 24h Spa and 24h Le Mans.
.
I’m a big proponent of visualization, especially for on track learning. If I can visualize myself doing something, I can make it happen.
.
These events are starting to materialize in my mind. Not sure when, how or who, but we’ll make it happen.
.
What are you looking forward to in your mind?
.

Building a business has been a goal of mine since I was a kid.
.
I remember being so interested in what my father was up to, cause he always enjoyed what he did and I looked up to him (and still do!)
.
I’m in the early stages with the two businesses that we started this year, and KMR Driver Academy online, and man it has been a challenge and an awesome opportunity for growth.
.
It seemed easy to begin with, however once you get going you realize what makes it all so difficult.
.
Getting the word out, building the core group of people, organizing the different events.
.
Definitely has pushed my understanding of creating something to the next level!
.
I’m grateful for that.
.
What I’ve discovered is that my aspiration to get more people involved and interested in sportscar racing has lead me to this path
.
It’s pushed back on me a bit this year - I won’t let that fear of failure hold us back from continuing to build!
.
Watch out for more to come From both of these awesome projects.

10/29/2021

Today, I voted, just a small election for our county but every election is important to participate in.
.
It’s a privilege we as Americans share.
.
There’s been a huge push to divide people over the last 12-18 months.
.
Pushing ideas like one group is better than another or that two groups hate each other.
.
If you ask me, it’s a load of Bull s***
.
I can tell you I absolutely do not stand for that. I stand for freedom, ability to have conversations with people I don’t 100% agree with, and learning from their perspective.
.
How else can we make progress?
.
I’m super thankful to live where I do and have the ability to do what I choose, and I will not easily give this up.
.
As a young adult I’m not sure where my place is in all this.
.
We want to go back to kicking ass and having a good time, but there’s some bumps in the road ahead.
.
At the least, sharing my thoughts and following through on actions that align with my beliefs are what i can do.
.
What about you?

Something my friends know, but you might not is that I’m an avid gamer. Have been since I was a kid.
.
From Runescape to Halo, COD, Oblivion, Minecraft (Alpha BTW), Skyrim, GTA..
.
Now Apex Legends, iRacing, Assetto Corsa Comp, I’ve been jumping heavy into all kinds of stuff.
.
For me it’s a way to keep workin my reaction times, and just another passion of mine.
.
What’s your game of choice?

10/25/2021

I spoke about this a few weeks ago, mental momentum is huge in everything that we do.
.
Life isn’t easy. Struggle is biblical, meaning that every story in the bible surrounds some sort of struggle, mental, physical, emotional, it’s part of the human journey.
.
Keeping mental momentum is one of the ways I’m able to keep my mind right when the struggles hit.
.
The best way I’ve heard it described is thinking about it as pushing a boulder up a hill.
.
If you stop pushing the boulder, it’s going to roll back down to the bottom (and crush you if you stand in its path).
.
Even to maintain where it’s at requires effort. This mental imagery helps me when I’m waking up in the morning and thinking about not doing the workout I planned out, or when I’m about to make a phone call to a potential sponsor, customer, or team that I’m nervous about.
.
Doing the work to go where you want to be requires effort every day no matter where you are in life.
.

Do you wear glasses when you drive??
.
No - I mainly drive by the Braille method on track, that’s what the other cars are for… 😂
.
I used to wear exclusively contacts but switched over to glasses this year (as I couldn’t get contacts due to delays in manufacturing) 👀
.
I was pleasantly surprised how well they work in the helmet.
.
The only time I had an issue was when it was cold - like 40 deg f outside and my breath was causing the glasses to fog..
.
So I just held my breath 🤷🏽‍♂️
.
Jokes aside maybe one day I can create a visor that has my prescription in it… that’d be cool
.

Something about a just brings out the inner child in all of us.
.
First off, awesome shots by .vizualz
.
The angular aggressive nature of the Huracan, especially the Super Trofeo, catches the eye so well.
.
It brings me back to being that kid playing with hot wheels, dreaming of being a race car driver one day.

My inner 5 year old is pretty in awe with where I’m at, but he also knows there’s more out there 😈

We’ve got an awesome event coming up this weekend with Porsche North Houston down at MSR!
.
Here’s what our last action at the track looked like with academy.
.
For me, it’s awesome being able to show people what the super cars they drive every week are truly capable of.
.
I’m a big proponent of going to the race track to drive fast, it’s the safest environment to do so.
.
The sustained adrenaline rush from taking a car to its limit for me is unmatched.
.
I’ve tried skydiving, scuba, wakeboarding, the closest I’ve found is skiing…
.
Helping guide others towards this understanding and feeling of bliss on track has turned into a passion of mine. I’m fortunate to get these opportunities to share the passion with people from all over the country.
.
If you’re looking for ways to find this experience for yourself, I can help guide you at any level. Shoot me a DM and I’ll get you pointed in the right direction.

We’re all super fortunate to be living in this country and especially this region, it’s little things we can do to give back.

The sport that keeps you coming back…
.
Solid effort in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo, in spite of qualifying woes we made a nice show moving up a bunch of spots in the weekend.

In the Mercedes GT4 we closed out a successful GS campaign with back to back double podiums.
.
Extremely appreciative of the opportunities to drive both of these machines. Looking forward to more.

Racing is something which gets into your blood and never leaves.
.
Once you have the bug or the passion good luck, because the sport keeps bringing you back.
.
The combination of adrenaline rush, self improvement, and continual learning is an optimal balance for getting into flow.
.
To me I think this is what brings people in and doesn’t let them go.
.
The flow state encountered in racing is similar to others, but there’s few other sports which allow you to sustain flow for so long.
.
Finding what drives us into flow on the daily can help boost productivity, leading to a more fulfilled successful life.
.

08/12/2021

Executing to your maximum capability is a win in the day. The reality is there’s a large difference in the ability of what each person is capable of.
.
On the track we look for the places where the lowest hanging fruit is - meaning what are the places where we can easily make adjustments to save the most amount of time around the circuit.
.
Finding where your strengths are and then putting in work to hone those while filling out the large gaps (lowest hanging fruit) with consistent work helps to push that capability further.
.
Everyone has different ultimate capability, only you know when you’re short changing yourself. I like to say average in = average out. This helps me remember if I want to be above average, I’ve got to put above average work in to get that end result.
.
.

There’s a moment when it all clicks.
.
After years of working on technique, getting the reps in and running lap after lap.
.
One day things fall into place.
.
Turns become easier, laps work together more fluidly
.
This is the moment I enjoy helping guide people towards.
.
The cool thing is, every time you’re on track you have one of these little moments
.
I think that’s one of the things that keeps us coming back for more.
.
Continual improvement and learning - the main process in Motorsport.
