HFD Street Machines Car Club
The typical morning in the Firehouse begins with your crew gathered around the dinner table, drinking coffee and shootin’ the breeze. On this particular morning in 2008, the conversation turned to old cars and the guys/gals who owned them. One thing led to another and, by the end of the day, the HFD Street Machines Car Club was founded. Our club members are comprised of active and retired Houston Firefighters and our families. It is a large club, possibly one of the largest car clubs in the United States (estimated membership 300 +). If you are a Houston Firefighter (or a family member of HFD) and you own a hot rod/custom, muscle car (old or new), truck etc., you’re in. We don’t have a board of director’s; no membership dues; no mandatory meetings. We support charity based car shows in the Houston area, as well as attending large, open road events.
