Revving Up for Success with ASSET Program: Jim Tidwell Ford & Gwinnett Tech Partnership

Exciting news for automotive enthusiasts! Ford's ASSET (Automotive Student Service Education) program is revving up at Gwinnett Technical College, and it's a game-changer for upcoming Ford technicians. This two-year program is a turbocharged journey to becoming a Ford Senior Master technician where students get top-notch mentoring from Ford dealers and emerge with skills that rev up their career prospects.
Jim Tidwell Ford has been invited by Ford to join this exciting journey to add 30 new Ford techs to the market every year. As partners in the program, they will have the privilege of sponsoring students who'll intern for two years while they study.

We had another amazing day at Kids' Meals, Inc.! Group 1 family from our Business Service Center, Sterling McCall Nissan, Sterling McCall Lexus Clear Lake, and the corporate office came together to make sandwiches, quesadillas, and trail mix bags for pre-school age children in Houston and the surrounding areas. While older siblings can eat free meals at school, these precious little ones may not know where their next meal is coming from; many live in food deserts where affordable, nutritious food is not easily accessible. Kids’ Meals feeds more than 8,000 children every day, and we are thrilled to know that the 1,000+ meals we prepared today will be in their little hands tomorrow!

We are also partnering with Jalen Pitre, Houston Texans’ Safety #5, to FEED 5 MORE! Your $10 donation will FEED 5 MORE children, and Group 1 will match up to $250,000 raised by Jalen! A backpack filled with school supplies may not seem exciting, but for many students it is an unexpected opportunity to start a new school year with the tools they need to be successful.

For the second year running, Toyota of Anaheim partnered with TOYOTA and Kids In Need Foundation to help students and teachers in the most under-resourced schools in the nation - those where 70 percent or more of their students are eligible to receive free or reduced meals. Since Toyota’s launch in 2022, more than 32,000 students in 90+ schools in the nation’s most underserved communities have been supported.

It is HOT in Texas! 🔥 But in Denton, TX, our very own Denton Dodge and Denton Mazda helped their neighbors stay cool in the Cool Zone at the North Texas Fair & Rodeo. Hosted by the North Texas State Fair Association, the county fair is a huge part of the Denton community, preserving and promoting western heritage and values, an understanding of the agricultural industry, and supporting youth and the community. During the fair, thousands of people come out to enjoy parades, a carnival, livestock show and rodeo events, concerts, and a plethora of food and drinks. The funds generated from this first-class nine-day affair are reinvested into various programs, scholarships, and facilities.
