Well, the EP3 saga has finally come to an end. We ended up finding multiple bent rods, so we replaced them with stronger 04-05 K24A rods. It also got a fresh set of ACL race bearings, Cometic head gasket, and ARP head studs to prepare it for more power down the road. While the engine was out, the clutch was upgraded to an Adlerspeed twin disc to ensure the power makes it to the tires.

All in all, this build performed just as good as it looks. With 505whp and 422wtq on tap, it should have no issues destroying tires and keeping the customer smiling. Dyno and two step videos in the comments 😎

Turbo J-series Del Sol getting exhaust and wastegate dump tube knocked out! Not totally happy with the wastegate dump tube, so I’ll be revising it, but you get the idea!

It seems as though there isn’t enough time in the day to get to work on my own stuff lately. I recently got the subframe back from the powdercoater, so I figured it was a good time to drop the swap in to mock everything up. There’s a few events in November that I’d like to attend, we’ll see how everything plays out!

The turbo J-series Del Sol is nearing completion! Got the cold side piping knocked out, which was crazy tight, but we made it work. Also finished up the coolant pipes, so the cooling system is complete. Next up, exhaust!

You learn more from your losses, than you do your wins. Shortly after testing two step, the engine in the EP3 developed a knock. Unfortunately we found that cylinder 4 rod decided it was time to retire. Thankfully we caught it early. Now we’ll take this opportunity to upgrade the clutch, and turn it up after replacing the rod.

Today was a day of custom fabrication projects. There isn’t an aftermarket wheel speed sensor bracket option available for the EP3 Civic chassis, so I took it upon myself to make one.

The factory throttle cable bracket is less than ideal and points the cable up towards the hood, so a new throttle cable bracket was made that’s more streamline and routes the cable down along the transmission.

Come along for a lap around Daytona in the number 69 FroMan Garage Spec Miata. This was a new PB for me by seven tenths, and there’s so much more left on the table. Can’t wait to get some more seat time!

Just wrapped up a full 3.5” turbo back on this turbo Silverado! It includes a custom built slash cut dual side exit tip, Vibrant ultra quiet resonator, and v-bands in order to make for an easy install!
