Small tire No Prep Racing

Racing News: The IHRA’s new Small Tire Bratz Series…..

The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) launched the Small Tire Bratz Series as a fresh, no-time eighth-mile drag racing format. It’s designed to spotlight true outlaw-style competition while also encouraging racers to help grow the sport through social media engagement.

Key Rules & Format

• Track Length: 1/8-mile
• Tree Type: .400 Pro Tree
• Timing: No-time format — no time slips are given
• Pairings: Fan-drawn chip system
• Field: All-run (no eliminations after first round)
• Bye Runs: One max (unless opponent breaks)
• Tire Rule: 28x10.5 non-W slicks only (no radials)
• Entry Fee: $500
• Payout: $20,000 to win + round money
• Tech & Safety: IHRA safety rules strictly enforced
• License: IHRA Small Tire license required

Social Media Requirement

A unique twist: racers must promote each event on social media. Specifically:

• One post the week before the event
• One post the week of the event

This is part of IHRA’s push to grow the series’ visibility and support local tracks and sponsors.

• Big Payouts: $20K to win is a serious purse for small-tire racing.
• Community-Driven: The fan-drawn chip system and all-run format keep things exciting and inclusive.
• Promotion-First: The social media requirement is a bold move to modernize grassroots racing and bring more eyes on the sport.
