Ain’t this the damn truth!!!! Well said tgates!!!

People call it a hobby because they only see the race. They don’t see the life behind it.

They don’t see the 2 a.m. nights in the shop, the thousands of miles on the road, the missed holidays, the empty wallets, the broken parts, the heartbreak, the self-doubt, or the sacrifices made in silence. They don’t see the moments when quitting would have been easier—but quitting was never an option.

Racing isn’t a hobby. It’s an obsession. It’s a calling. It’s a lifestyle that demands everything you have and still asks for more. It teaches you that nothing worthwhile is given, only earned. It humbles you in defeat, strengthens you through adversity, and reminds you that success belongs to those willing to endure what others won’t.

When racing gets into your blood, it changes who you are. You don’t clock out. You don’t leave it at the racetrack. You carry it in every decision, every sacrifice, every sunrise, and every late night. It becomes the fire that gets you out of bed, the reason you refuse to settle, and the purpose that keeps you moving when everyone else says it’s impossible.

So the next time someone says, “Racing must be a nice hobby,” just smile.

Because they’ll never understand what it feels like to dedicate your life to a dream so powerful that you’d rather fail chasing it than spend a lifetime wondering what could have been.

Some people exist.

Racers live.

July 10th we thought our racing season was over but you know the 8B racing team couldn’t let that happen…we don’t back down and we don’t quit, we’re back🤘🏼

Sad day in the 8B garage. After looking closely at the car after last Fridays wreck, our season is done. We are looking at a whole new chassis and many new parts to be able to continue. We apologize to all of our sponsors who support us every week. We will take the time to rebuild for next year.
