GRIFF's Hauling Services Hello my name is Jeff Griffith and I'm just starting my business called GRIFF's Hauling Services. I'm a 32 year veteran in the United States Air Force.

I'm currently working for the federal government and would like to retire from it within 5 years. I'm just now starting my business so it can one day be my full time job. I still have 3 young kids I will need to put through college one day. I cross my fingers in hopes this business will be a success.

One of the retention ponds I expanded over the summer breached the berm during a massive storm and washed away some of it. So, I removed part of the berm and installed rip rap, which are large rocks. In fact 8000 pounds of it, by hand!! Hopefully this will alleviate any future issues.

I had an interesting job repairing a leaking retention pond into Lake Echo. I dug a trench and found several areas where it was leaching into the lake. I opened the trench up to expose the problem areas. We laid a rubber membrane down and backfilled it with dirt and Bentonite Clay, then wrapped it up like a burrito. I finished the bank with more dirt and Bentonite Clay, then laid rip rap (large rock) for support. Sorry, I forgot to take a photo of the finished product. I finally fit the gold mine of all jobs. I ended up keeping most of the items for myself and I'll sell the majority of the rest and put everything in good hands .
