🏁 Loretta’s 2026 has come and gone. What a week! 🏁
I want to say something out in the open that I’ve believed for a long time:
A builder doesn’t win races. A bike doesn’t win races. The kid behind the bars does.
There was a moment Friday night that I would have given anything to have caught on camera.
One of our little riders who had an incredible week came up and got my attention. This was probably two hours after Moto 3. I kneeled down, told him how well he had done and how proud I was of him.
His response was:
“It was because of your bike.”
I told him, “No buddy, YOU did that. YOU earned that. I built you a bike that was capable, but you had to hold the throttle — and you did just that.”
That moment meant a lot to me.
These are kids. CycleWorx has never been about what place a kid finishes or how many titles we can attach our name to. It’s also why we’ve never built our program around “sponsored riders.”
We believe our job is to give every rider the same opportunity when they line up at that gate.
What they do with that opportunity belongs to them.
With that said, congratulations to Puglisi on bringing home the title! 🏆
And I’m incredibly proud of what all of our CycleWorx riders accomplished this week:
🏁 6 riders in the Top 10 overall
🥈 2nd overall
🥉 3rd overall
🚀 All 3 holeshots
🏆 A moto win
We had no less than 30 CycleWorx bikes on the track each moto.
Across the week, those little bikes completed approximately 660 laps at Loretta Lynn’s.
And through all of those laps, we had two mechanical issues.
The first happened on the sight lap of Moto 1 when a carburetor clogged. We had a spare carb in our line bag, had roughly two minutes to make the repair, got it changed and got our rider to the gate.
He then pulled the holeshot and finished 3rd in the moto. 💪
The second was unfortunately our only DNF of the week. A lower handlebar-mount bolt came out during the moto, leaving the bike inoperable.
Racing has a way of reminding you that no matter how much preparation goes into these machines, you cannot predict every failure. What we can do is learn from every one of them. Because of that incident, we’re adding an additional check to our between-moto service procedure going forward.
That’s racing. That’s how we get better.
But when I look back at Loretta’s 2026, the numbers aren't what I'm going to remember most.
I’m going to remember the kids.
The excitement. The nerves. The gate drops. The parents. The celebrations. The heartbreaks. The little riders walking back into our tent after a moto and telling us about their race like it was the most important thing happening anywhere in the world.
Because to them, it was.
CycleWorx Racing is proud of every single kid who lined up on that gate this week.
And personally, I’m incredibly proud of and thankful for every rider and every family who continues to trust CycleWorx Racing for anything PW.
We build the bikes.
The kids earn the results. ❤️🏁
