NETFLIX PRESENTS: A Mystery Hidden Behind the Dashboard.

A 2025 Range Rover Velar arrived with one simple complaint: it’s losing coolant.

The dealership had already performed a pressure test.

Verdict? They couldn’t find the leak.

The case wasn’t closed, it was just getting started.

The Velar came to European Autohaus. We performed our own pressure test. The cooling system wasn’t holding pressure… but there wasn’t a single drop of coolant under the vehicle.

No visible leaks.
No obvious failures.
Just a mystery.

Then our technician noticed something everyone else had missed.

The passenger side footwell.

Instead of carpet, it was a swimming pool of coolant.

The leak wasn’t under the hood, it was hidden inside the cabin.

Diagnosis: a failed heater core, buried deep inside the dashboard. A repair requiring roughly 16 hours of labor and the removal of much of the interior to access it.

This wasn’t luck.

It was experience, patience, and knowing where to look when the obvious isn’t the answer.

Another difficult diagnosis.
Another vehicle saved.
Another reminder that the right diagnosis is worth more than guessing.

Case closed.

Some cars are worth saving. This is one of them. 🔧

In the shop today: a 2008 Audi S4 B7 4.2L V8, 6-speed manual, one of the rarest modern Audi combinations you’ll find in the U.S.

We’re tackling a timing chain service along with the check valve service, two of the most critical jobs on the legendary 4.2 FSI V8. This isn’t just maintenance, it’s preserving an icon.

Cars like this don’t come through our doors every day, and when they do, they deserve to be repaired the right way.
