Attention Amazon Shoppers: A Quick JD01A Fitment Clarification

John Deere X300/X500 tractors don’t all use the same rear seat pan — but that doesn’t mean you’re out of options.

The JD01A kits currently in Amazon inventory are designed for tractors with a flat rear seat pan between the slide rails. If your X-Series mower has a flat pan, the JD01A is the perfect fit.

Some later-production tractors use a raised rear seat pan, or “hump,” and require a different rear bracket.

Artifex has a solution for both.

We are currently producing an updated kit that will accommodate both seat-pan configurations in one package.

Until that version reaches Amazon, if you purchase a JD01A and discover your tractor has the raised configuration, simply contact us.

If your tractor has the raised “hump,” we recommend contacting Artifex rather than using spacers or forcing the flat-pan rear bracket to bend around it. Spacers can change the seat angle and may leave the operator in an uncomfortable riding position. We’ll gladly provide the proper rear bracket at no additional charge.

Questions? Not sure which configuration you have?
