There are reports of an active text and email scam targeting Oklahomans.

These are fraudulent text messages or emails claiming to be from the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety - Driver License Services (DPS) and they are not legitimate.

Scammers are claiming your registration will be revoked and your Driver License will be suspended for 30 days.

A reminder from Service Oklahoma:
• We will never call or text you to ask for payment or financial information
• Do not click links or respond to suspicious messages
• Delete and report as spam
• Our licensed operators will never request money or account info through a text

If you receive a suspicious email or text DO NOT CLICK on the links.

If you’ve already clicked a link or entered information, take immediate steps to secure your accounts.

Starting February 1, 2026, TSA will require a $45 fee from travelers who arrive at airport security without a federally accepted ID. In addition, using Confirm ID does not ensure that you will be permitted to board your flight.

Getting a REAL ID is easy and allows you to travel hassle-free. Having a REAL ID isn’t mandatory, but it’s the easiest way to travel domestically.

Make the easy choice and get your REAL ID before you fly.

Service Disruption Notice for Tuesday, Jan. 27:

Due to inclement weather, the following Service Oklahoma Licensing and Exam locations will be opening tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 27 at 10:00 a.m.

Altus, Bartlesville, Broken Arrow, Broken Arrow Drive Test Center, Chickasha, Claremore, Clinton, Edmond, Enid, Hinton, I-240, Lawton, Miami, Muskogee, Norman, OKC – Classen, OKC Drive Test Center, Ponca, City, Sallisaw, Stillwater, Tulsa at the Farm and Tulsa West.

In addition, the following Service Oklahoma Licensing and Exam locations will be closed all day Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Ada, Antlers, Ardmore, Durant, Idabel, McAlester and Poteau.

The Service Oklahoma Licensing and Exam locations at Guymon and Woodward will be open.

In other areas around the state, drive tests may be delayed or unavailable while safe driving conditions are ensured. If you reserve an appointment at a location in an affected area, please monitor your messages for up-to-date information regarding your service.

If you plan to visit a licensed operator in the area, call ahead before visiting their location to verify their hours of operation during this winter storm.
