With a heavy heart, we announce the closure of our family's Line-X business, a journey that began in 1994 under the guidance of our Dad, Don Greely. From the highs of success to the lows of challenges, our resilience was tested time and again. The fire Christmas Eve 2018, health emergencies, COVID-19, and recent drastic business model changes dealt blows we struggled to recover from. Despite our best efforts, we couldn't withstand the storm.
We're immensely grateful for the unwavering support of our loyal customers who stood by us until the end, recognizing our commitment to excellence. To my brother Travis Greely, our mom Debbie, and our founder Don Greely, thank you for fighting alongside me, Brett Greely, when the odds seemed insurmountable.
To our ex-employees, we owe a tremendous debt of gratitude. Your dedication and hard work were the backbone of our operation. Your contributions were invaluable, and we deeply appreciate the skills and passion you brought to our business. You were more than employees; you were part of our family.
Facing closure, it's hard not to feel the weight of uncertainty. But amidst the pain, there's a glimmer of hope. If circumstances allow, I dream of rebuilding with my brother in a new space with renewed spirit, and a new business model, though it's a daunting investment. Our parents are now retired, My brother and I are moving on professionally in different paths for now.
To Line-X, despite the bitter ending, weβll always cherish the memories and the dream our family was fortunate to be a part of and build to be the big thing it became. Farewell to this chapter.
The rise of private equity buying franchised businesses is distressing. They often disregard the families behind these small businesses, exploiting them until they succeed or fail. It's time for limits to protect families and their livelihoods from such destruction.
Thank you all for being part of our journey.
Warmest regards,
Don Greely
