We need to talk about the 10mm socket.

You don’t own a 10mm socket.
You simply borrow it until it decides to leave this dimension. 👽🌀

You’ll hear it drop.
You’ll hear ONE bounce.
Then… silence. 😳

You crawl under the truck looking for it and somehow find:
🧦 A sock
🎸 A guitar pick
🥡 A Tupperware lid from 2007
🔩 Three bolts you lost six months ago
…but NOT THE DAMN 10MM. 😂

At this point, I’m convinced every missing 10mm socket is floating together somewhere in space, laughing at mechanics. 🤣

And tool companies… quit selling us 150-piece sets.

Just give us:
1 ratchet + 149 10mm sockets.

We’ll still be down to three by Thursday. 😂😂

🔧😂 THE 5 STAGES OF MECHANIC GRIEF ARE REAL.

You know that moment when a bolt slips out of your fingertips… you hear one tiny clink… and then NOTHING. 😳

Straight into the dark abyss of the intake manifold.

And just like that, a 2-minute job turns into an emotional journey:

1️⃣ Denial: “There’s NO way it went all the way in.”
2️⃣ Anger: “WHO DESIGNED THIS THING?!” 🤬
3️⃣ Bargaining: “Pleaseeee… just let the magnet reach it.” 🙏
4️⃣ Depression: Sitting on the 5-gallon bucket questioning every life decision that brought you here. 😂
5️⃣ Acceptance: Cracks open an energy drink… “Alright. Where’s the gasket scraper?” 🔧😎

Because sometimes being a mechanic means spending six hours fixing the problem that took 0.2 seconds to create. 😂

Thankfully, after 25 years of experience, I’ve learned one important thing:

🔧😂 WELCOME TO A MECHANIC’S WEEK — DIESEL DADDY EDITION! 😂🔧

Monday: “It’ll be a quick fix.”
Tuesday: Where did my 10mm socket go?! 🤦‍♂️
Wednesday: “No… that ticking noise is NOT your truck singing along to the radio.” 😂
Thursday: Four hours fighting ONE rusted bolt that I probably didn’t even need to touch. 😤
Friday: Stripped threads, fluid baths & busted knuckles held together with electrical tape. 🩹

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend! I spent mine celebrating a HUGE personal victory: ONE FULL YEAR! 💪🙏

That milestone means more to me than words can explain. The road hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has made me stronger, hungrier, and more determined to keep moving forward.

To my family, friends, customers, and every single person who has supported me along the way—THANK YOU! I wouldn’t be where I am today without you. Your love, trust, and encouragement mean everything to me.

I did it— Diesel Daddy, LLC officially made it one year.

I’m not going to pretend it’s been easy. Running my own business has meant long days, sleepless nights, missed time with family, hard lessons, and plenty of moments when I wondered if I could keep going. There were days when the phone didn’t ring and days when it wouldn’t stop. Either way, I had to keep showing up.

When I look back at where I started and where I am now, I’m proud. I still have a long way to go, but every job, every mistake, every customer, and every challenge has helped me grow.

Thank you to everyone who trusted me with their vehicles, recommended my business, shared my posts, or simply told me not to give up. You helped make this first year possible.

If you have a dream, go after it. It won’t always be easy, and it probably won’t happen overnight—but with hard work, dedication, and the willingness to keep going when things get tough, anything is possible.

One year down, and I’m just getting started. 🔧💪

I’m convinced this machine might be cursed! 😆 Every time I try to work on it, the weather decides to dump on me. These projects can be fun—but they’re also a pain in the 🫏!

Still, the work gives me some much-needed time to clear my head, solve problems, and keep pushing forward.

Business has reached a point where I can barely keep up with my phone, and that is truly a blessing. I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who continues to trust me, understands my workload, and patiently allows me time to circle back.
