This is the Gonzaga University Chapter of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). While also being a professional organization, SAE strives to give undergraduate and graduate engineering students the chance to work on real-world engineering projects through their competitions. The competition that Gonzaga has historically been a part of is the Aero Design Competition. Current Club Projects Incl

ude (But are not limited to):
-Modification of a 1990 Honda Civic to be entered in the Demolition Derby at the Spokane County Fair in September 2012.

-Design and construction of a radio controlled blimp (similar to what would be seen at a hockey/basketball game).

-Tear down and clean up of a lawn mower engine in order for students to learn about how a four stroke motor functions.

-We will help organize any engineering-related project that Gonzaga engineering students are interested in doing in order to gain a better understanding and hands-on knowledge of mechanical engineering. Club Officers
