Question of the day that shouldn't have to be a question but due to a total lack of regular maintenance needs to be addressed. We are constantly stressing to customers the importance of regular maintenance and inspections for this reason. We picked up an engine and were told they probably needed an impeller replaced, well, I'd say for good reason. This by far has been the worst we've ever had come in.

As we are quickly trying to get everyone's boats ready and finished up, we were working on this 1994 Force 70 HP that came to us with several underlying issues. We rebuilt the carburetor, had to adjust timing, replace several gaskets on the engine and lastly found that the fuel tank was full of water, most likely causing all the initial issues. All problems have been fixed and she back running great. Say what you will about the Force engines but this has been one of the rare good one s to this customer and now hopefully she will be great again for him. Thanks Cody for the opportunity to work on your engine.

Happy Wednesday and today is all about inspecting before you buy. If you don't know what you're looking for or have never owned a boat, seek an expert. This boat was purchased with an undersized engine and to the "new owner" looked great on the outside but, that's not always the case, as in this boat. We found this transom was shot and unfit to run on the water and immediately reached out to our customer knowing he has small children and would not could, be a serious safety issue. So, again, when going to purchase a boat or engine, seek out your preferred expert and don't be afraid to ask questions. People will sell you there problem and not think twice about it.

This boat was brought in for regular service work. Carburetor rebuild, water pump and lower unit oil change.
Upon further inspection, we found that the transom is completely rotted out.
