Rebel Racing got its start in 1995 when Billi decided to join her husband Dale on the track in her own car. Rather than entering into the powder puff class, Billi knew she had to play with the big boys in the Pony stocks (known as mini stocks in most places). Billi started a tradition in local racing that has allowed women an equal footing in local racing divisions when she won the Rookie of the y

ear title. The first few years of driving were a huge learning curve for the team as they learned how to not only make the driver competitive but also the machines that would soon put them both in the winner's circle. The team took their First Championship in 1999 with Dale's highly recognizable Blue Dodge Challenger. That year, the whole family had joined the team and both daughters took active roles in the team's success. In 2002, Dale and Billi made NASCAR history by being the first husband and wife driving team to win championships in the same year in their respective classes. Crew Chiefs Shane and Amanda were also honored as NASCAR True Value Mechanic(s) of the year while the team was voted most helpful to others by their fellow racers. In the years that followed, the team was able to claim participation in over 20 Championships, several rookies of the year awards, and numerous awards for the team's helpfulness and skill. They raced at several tracks across the west coast and returned to Magic Valley Speedway in 2012 for the second half of the season where they were once again voted the most helpful crew. With The oldest Daughter, Mirinda was finally done with College and able to return to Gooding, A new and exciting opportunity for Rebel Racing presented itself. For the First time since 1995, Rebel Racing would have a core member of the team eligible and eager to compete for the Rookie of the year title. Mirinda drives the 78 Malibu that was raced by Dale in 2012 while Veteran Driver Harold started the season in the newly built 1979 Monte Carlo to work out any mechanical bugs. Dale Miles is finished up the 2013 season in the Monte Carlo. Many trials and tribulations along the way (and lots of "racing incidents") put Mirinda out of the chase for Rookie of the year, as well as the last 4 races of the season. In 2016 Mirinda's son Cecil and Amanda got their opportunities to race, Cecil won the second half Junior Stinger Championship at Magic Valley Speedway and Amanda had an impressive rookie year in Pocatello. Amanda won rookie of the year, 3rd in overall point stands, and most improved driver for the entire track. In 2020 Cecil and Amanda went head to head in Cecil's rookie season in the Mini Stocks. Amanda blew up 4 motors and had other mechanical problems but finished 4th in overall points and 29th in the NASCAR Short Track National Standing, with 3 main event wins and 10 2nd place finishes. Cecil had a better season with 7 main event wins he finished 6th in the NASCAR Short Track National Standing and 3rd in the overall track standings.

2021 Cecil was the main attraction at Magic Valley speedway, He won an impressive 11 main events and finished 2nd in points only 1 point behind the leader. In 2022 Rebel Racing will be branching out a little bit on their racing experiences, They will be starting the Inaugural stock car racing series at the brand new Mountain Home Speedway dirt track. Come see us there for some FUN FAST DIRT TRACK EXPERIENCES!!

Manda has taken this season to swap from crew chief to driver and is hopeful for her first drivers championship and rookie of the year. She has performed flawless in the first 3 races this season so far setting a new track record of 15.888 and winning qualifying her heats and her mains for the first 3 races.

BUT, After a long winter of rebuilding the 79 car we had the car out for the second race of the season but had some major set up issues. Mirinda drove the best the car would handle bringing home a second place. We brought the car home and worked for 2 weeks getting the mechanical aspects worked out just to have electrical issues and didn't make the race on July 3. So when we brought her back on the 13 hopeful that it would run we got slightly disappointed when it was throwing sparks. We tore it down at the track removed the transmission and found the flywheel had broke around the bolts. So we removed the flywheel and put it back together and push started it for the race. This time with Cecil behind the wheel.

MAN WHAT A RACE IT WAS. Cecil in the 79 and Manda in the 25. Even though Cecil pulled it out by 0.161 of a second it was an amazing race for Manda. She learned a ton about driving on the track in these style of cars and padded her point lead.

A HUGE thank you to the Rebel Racing team for their work in getting the cars together and out there. We would like to thank all of our sponsors and friends who have helped us get this far. Superior Fabrication, Steve's Quick Stop, Mark Shockley, Rebel Trophies and Mountain Home Speedway for the help outside the track. And Adam Nielson, Spanky, and all the officials at Magic Valley Speedway for giving us a place to race.

As the 2024 season started, Manda decided that she would change her hats from Crew Chief to driver of the 25 car and is hopeful for her first driver championship and rookie of the year.

This season has started off promising with her setting a new track record of 15.888 and winning the qualifying, heat races and main events in the first 3 races of the season.

BUT, it has been a long winter rebuilding the 79 car. We missed the first race with the 79 car because the damage was significant and wanted to make sure the car was safe before its return to the track. For the second season Mirinda piloted the car and finished in an impressive 2nd place with a VERY ill handling car. On the 3rd race Cecil strapped back in for practice and we struggled with electrical issues that we couldn't remedy so that car sat in the pit.

As the 4th and most recent race both cars took to the track after a very long 10 days in the shop. The 79 car was fast but ended up throwing sparks from its starter. We tore it down and found that the flywheel had broke at the center ring around the bolts. So we tore into the car and dropped the transmission, we removed the transmission, clutch and flywheel then put the clutch and transmission back just in time to go out for the main event. (Thanks Spanky for being flexible and letting us get the race in late!) As the cars took the track the drivers both knew that it would be one heck of a race, and it was. With Manda out to an early lead Cecil's car stepped out and spun to the inside giving an opportunity for a restart. From then on it was a battle lap after lap with Cecil taking the checkered flag 0.161 seconds ahead of Manda and ending her winning streak.

We would like to give a huge shout out to our crew Cecil, Manda, Dale, Tyler, Shawna for jumping in and not giving up to make this race happen. We would also like to thank the sponsors that made this season happen. Rebel Trophies, Dale Miles, Mark Shockley and Mountain Home Speedway. Rebel Racing would like to thank Adam Nelson, and Spanky for giving us a place to play.

This Saturday's Stock Car Race is being rescheduled for July 16.
We want to thank McDaniel's Excavating and our staff for ALL the efforts they have put in this week trying to stay ahead of mother nature in the hopes we could keep the track in good condition. Unfortunately, she has one more storm for us that is predicted to fall right in our racing timeframe, and everything is just too water logged for us to guarantee we can provide our racers and fans with an enjoyable racing expirience. Nobody comes out just to watch the tow truck.
We definitely prefer to provide everyone with an alternate date that is likely to give us a great afternoon of fun over being cold, wet, bored, and miserable. We can't wait to see you all for the Enduro on the 21st, and don't forget to add July 16th to your schedules!
