This was us last week trying to get the last of the crops in the ground. Disking, cultivating, and planting were all hot and super dusty. Thankful for all the help we had to get it done. Now we just need some rain to get those seeds growing good 🌧️🙏

Only a bottle calf 😆 Meet Princess Nibbles (the kids wanted to call her Nibbles, we wanted to call her Princess.) Her mom is fine, she just wanted to take time off from momming with this one for some reason lol. So here we are 😊...

This little fella was born to one of our first time mamas a little over a week ago. It was a chilly and windy evening and we thought he was up and eating and fine. She seemed to be caring for him and attentive. They then decided to lay in a less than ideal spot that night. He ended up needing some extra attention from us. He spent the next night in the barn without Mom and us feeding him. Happy to say he perked back up and got let back outside the next day. He tried getting milk from every cow he came across and was declined until Mom found him. They were both happy to see each other and have been doing great ever since 🥰

It sure is a beautiful day in northern MI. We are up to 10 calves now and they are all running around enjoying the warmth and sunshine 🌞 Only the first and 10th calves have been girls so far which is kinda crazy. So boys-8, girls-2. We shall see what the rest of calving season brings and I'll try to be better about posting cute baby updates 😊
