One of our regular customers gave us a call after purchasing a new to her vehicle, from a local used car dealership. One of the things this specific customer loves about Wyatt's Auto Services is how honest, transparent and how we explain the issues in a way that makes sense.
We had done a diagnostic earlier in the month and she had us replace and O2 sensor that was throwing a code and was causing her check engine light to come on. We started the job and found this weird "spacer" as the dealership called it that was causing more issues that didn't allow the sensor to do its job. On top of that they had installed the sensor wrong causing kinks and breaks to the wiring of the sensor causing it to fail. We replaced it and the vehicle ran good as new.
She also had us do a diagnostic on the AC that the dealership had just fixed and we found many issues that caused a bigger problem with her AC. When they installed the AC compressor we didn't see any AC oil causing the components inside the compressor to start to fail. Along with the high point schrader valve was not tight causing the freon to leak out of the system. Make sure when you are buying a new or used vehicle you are going to a trusted company who has a good reputation. We are so glad we could help this customer pin point the issues and empower her with the knowledge to prevent this from happening in the future.
