Today’s job, a rear differential on an 05 Volvo. While I was talking to our tech, I took a moment to grab some pics of the salt and corrosion that winter does to our cars. We stress to many of our customers the importance of undercoating, and this is why. This particular car sees a lot of the state maintained roads, and though that high salt content is nice for winter driving, it is not so nice to your car. We also stress to our customers to run your car through a really good car wash a few days after a storm and the roads have dried up, and pay the extra couple of dollars for the undercarriage wash, it really can make a difference of adding years of life to your vehicle. That extra $85 a year(estimated 7 washes over the winter)can save you thousands over time in repairs, and upgrading vehicles when the salt has had its way with your car.
