Seven days ago was the culmination of more than six months of hard work !
It resulted in one of the most surreal experiences I thought I would ever experience.
That would be restoring, building and racing NASCAR Stock Cars at LeMans.
The pinnacle of it all was a 2nd Place Podium finish for the #88 Cliff Stewart Racing Gatorade Pontiac driven by good friend Dr. Jim Norman.
On many occasions throughout the eight days we were there I found myself in utter awe of what we as team have accomplished, experienced and shared together.
The sense of camaraderie and fellowship shared by everyone within the paddock area was simply amazing.
It didn't matter what brand or era of car you had, we were all racers helping racers.
Changing engines, clutches, steering boxes, ring gears, hoses, fuel cells, or fixing headers it didn't matter.
Everyone helped everyone, if you didn't have a spare or broke a part, someone had it to help get you ready for the next session!
Enjoyed seeing a lot of old friends and making new ones.
More importantly,
I say thank you to my amazing friend Bill Rhine Enterprise, John Skoder, Derek Kearns, Jim Norman, Carlos De Quesada and Larry Carrol.
We had a hell of a time and took home a Trophy and Champagne with a rear steer Poncho set on kill !
