Wishing we would have had a few more pictures from today but this pretty much tells the story. Three generations on the boat today and Grandma took them all to school! She was quite the angler! The last picture is what the family sent me of their Kingfish dinner on the grill. Looks like you did a perfect job! Enjoy your dinner and thanks for choosing Surfside Beach Charters. Thanks Ozzy for choosing Surfside Beach Charters today. Getting a little sporty out there! Thanks for hanging in there. Caught some nice kings, snaps were a little tough, but the sharks put on a show. Ended the day with a big stingray. Hope you guys had fun. Capt Rob and I sure did.

Another beautiful sunrise then we got to bridge bait. A barge took out around 12 pillings and the corner of the dock about an hour earlier. That’s not pretty. Thanks Jeff for bringing your family back to see us again. Kingfish all you need, dug out a few more snaps, then it was a shark fest. As fast as you could tie on another hook bait it up and throw it out another one on. Getting hot out there Capt Rob. Appreciate your efforts.

Morning 1/2 day trip with Conrad group. It was another beautiful day on the water. Caught a few kings and a few snaps. The cobia we hooked looked a little iffy as far as being a keeper or not. So we got the net out instead of the gaff to get it in the boat. Don’t recommend trying to net a cobia….. but glad we did it because it was 39 inches and they have to be 40 inches in order to keep! He swam off just fine. Thanks Capt Rob for working the deck today. Come back and see us again Dan!

I only got pictures of the start of the morning and the final product. This was a Father and Son’s deal today. They had a couple days off from a busy baseball schedule and decided to go fishing. 1/2 day trip worked out pretty good. Give us a call after baseball season is over. Just going to get better. Kymber and the Conley family and friends have been fishing with us for years now. They picked a good day today. Waters are so blue you can see the bottom in 50 foot of water. It’s like fishing in a goldfish bowl. See you next year and have a great 4th of July.

What a fine day at the office! Clifford wanted to take his three sons on a little fishing adventure today. I’m glad they chose us. Had to work at it but put some nice fish in the box. Let me know how your kingfish turns out. I will be grilling some up myself tonight. Haven’t had any since last fall. Looking forward to it. Had a feeling it was going to be a good day! Caught our first kingfish of the season. Flipper ( dolphins) wouldn’t leave us alone on the reefs when we were fishing for snaps but ended up in a school of at least 50 spinner sharks. That’s what you could see. Was an afternoon bite on kingfish we caught 7 kings and a nice cobia to boot. Left my phone at the dock so didn’t have many pics. Thanks Rob and Matt for working the deck today.

Managed to get in a couple 1/2 day charters the last couple of days. Beautiful sunrises but waters are still a little rough. Redfish, gaff tops, and sharks in close. Current is still ripping on the state water reefs. Enjoyed our trips with the Oberlin and Kurtz families. Come back and see us again. Thanks Matt for the help the last couple days.

I don’t know what to say! Tropical Storm Arthur has been kicking our butts here this week and last week wasn’t much better! Made it out today for a 1/2 day trip. It was great to be back on the water but it was hop, skip and jump over sticks , logs and trees that have been washed out of the rivers with all of this rain that’s been falling all over the area. Some of the trees were over 40 feet. Thanks guys for putting up with what we were handed today. At least we have enough for a fish fry or two. Thanks Capt Homie for helping me out today, always fun. Come back and see us again. I promise it’s not always like this.
