3 years ago I took a huge risk when I decided to have our GMT400 Notched Hood Latch Bracket manufactured in the USA on an extremely large scale. I had been building these brackets by hand for several years, until the demand started to exceed my ability to make them.
We partnered with a team of mechanical engineers and a Michigan-based manufacturing facility who brought the vision for these brackets to reality. We had a massive run of brackets manufactured, but at no small cost. It was a significant and intimidating investment; I didn't really know what the timeline for sales would be.
Only 3 years later, and we have officially sold every single bracket from that production run. Our brackets are in all 50 states, 5 Canadian Provinces, Australia, Europe, New Zealand, and South America. Not only that, but we just did a second massive run of these brackets, and they are already moving fast. Our decision to have these manufactured turned out to be what really helped launch our small business, and we have since been able to move into many other products.
I am so thankful to have a customer base that supports us and what we do. We are a family owned and operated business and are 100% bootstrapped. It's amazing that our dream for high quality USA manufacturing is still possible and all of you continue to prove that every day.
