It's nearly 100 degrees outside and we are roasting like rotisserie chickens. Your furnace is the last thing on your mind. But you know who IS thinking about your furnace right now? Dirt daubers.

Spring and summer are when those industrious buggers are building their nests, and your furnace is looking like home sweet home right now. To keep them out, install insect screens on your furnace and water heater vents. It's a $20 part that prevents a $2,000 furnace replacement. The only one mad about that investment is a dirt dauber.

Picture it: It's noon on Friday. Fredericksburg is gearing up for another fabulous weekend. On Main Street, a visitor is crossing the street to make it to their wine tour on time. Another just left their wine tour and is crossing over to grab a burger for lunch. Dozens more are crisscrossing between bakeries, boutiques, and galleries. It's all so much fun... unless you are navigating the chaos while towing your 40-foot RV to a repair facility.
