🚨 A Friendly Insurance Reminder 🚨

We are seeing more and more of this issue and simply want to make the public aware.

First, we are NOT insurance agents. We are only sharing what we are seeing firsthand after responding to accidents.

Lately, we’ve been hearing more and more that there is a “coverage limit issue.” Many people assume they have “full coverage,” but don’t realize they may have policy limits that could leave them with out-of-pocket expenses.

For example, if you cause an accident and the damage exceeds your policy’s property damage limits, your insurance may only pay up to those limits. Depending on your policy and the circumstances, you could be responsible for amounts above that. Likewise, if you only carry liability coverage, damage to your own vehicle generally is not covered unless you have collision coverage (subject to your policy terms).

🚗 The takeaway: Don’t assume you know what’s covered. Take a few minutes to call your insurance agent and ask questions:
✅ What are my property damage limits?
✅ Do I have collision coverage?
✅ Would my current coverage fully protect me if I totaled my vehicle or damaged someone else’s newer vehicle?

Kentucky’s minimum required coverage may not be enough for today’s vehicle values. Spending a few minutes reviewing your policy now could save you a lot of stress later.
