Last night at Mississippi Thunder Speedway things were going great until they weren’t.

Heat 2nd to 1st. Redraw put us rolling off on the outside of the front row. Lead the first 12 laps until there was a restart. Driver in second decided to fire before the leader and ran into our quarter panel and punctured our tire. Hence we were done for the night.

We decided it wasn’t worth it to go back tonight, so looking forward to next weekend at Cedar Lake Speedway at the Legendary 100.

Unfortunately, tonight’s Labor Day Showdown has been cancelled.

After receiving just shy of two inches of rain yesterday, combined with today’s hot and humid conditions and the lack of sun and wind, the track and pit areas remain far too wet to safely and properly prepare for tonight’s event.

With our biggest event of the year just a few weeks away, it is simply not worth tearing up and potentially damaging the track and grounds trying to force tonight’s event in. We want to make sure the facility is in the best possible condition heading into our year-end special later this month.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and support.

We look forward to seeing everyone back at Red Cedar Speedway September 25-26 for the 46th Annual Punky Manor Challenge of Champions!

Well, Mother Nature won today. So we’re taking the night off.

Last night at Red Cedar Speedway we took home 3rd place.

On to next weekend for 3 nights of racing. Friday night at Red Cedar Speedway and Saturday & Sunday at Rice Lake Speedway for the Dairyland Dash!
