Another 1965 Ford Mustang. We did quite a bit to this in two stages. First stage was mostly reliability upgrades.
1. EFI with electronic ignition and computer controlled timing.
2. Brakes
3. Subframe connectors to stiffen the chassis of the "loosey goosey" convertible frame for planned added power in the next phase.
4. Suspension upgrades.
5. Exhaust.
6. Dakota digital dash.
7. TKX transmission swap, for the drivers enjoyment. (And less parasitic drain of power and torque than an automatic transmission. 🤫)
Phase 2 was adding a supercharger with m**h injection. The sad looking stock radiator was not enough to keep up with the added power or the heat from the A/C condenser. Let's admit it 64-65 Mustang owners, the size and layout of the stock radiator isn't only small, it is poorly designed for air to flow through the radiator. Stock mounting leaves so many gaps that air will mostly flow around the radiator. We fixed it modify the radiator core support so the new, bigger, radiator will sit flush to the front instead of being set back nearly to inches. Larger radiator, twin electric fans, a good shroud to force air through the radiator, and mounting the radiator to the very front of so seal it against the core support got rid of all our heat woes. Do you need one, too?
