Comment if you know it’s true🤨

I went from proudly finishing my 30 day challenge to multiple work trips, city council meetings, and home projects needs that have kept me out of the garage the past couple weeks. I’m 👀eying those holiday breaks though to make some accelerated progress⚡️And I’ve got all the parts in for next steps needed!!! 👊👊 to all those pushing forward even though at times you’re overwhelmed.

Daily progress club update⚡️Needed to get to my bolts and things that had been soaking for 2 days.

Rusty stuff I soaked in vinegar, gunky stuff I soaked in carb cleaner.

Now that everything is clean I’ll make my list of bolts I want to replace.

I store this stuff in ziplocks when I remove it from the car and label the bag with where it came from - otherwise it’s hard to remember what goes where! I took pics of everything before I dumped together to clean so I can separate into where it goes when I’m putting Studie back together.

Day 3 of !⚡️It’s a short one, but bit-by-bit Studie is coming back to life!

The products I’m using were influenced by Repair Geek’s “Don’t Use POR-15” video and are Eastwood’s Platinum Rust Encapsulator and Raptor’s rubberized undercoating.

Looking forward to the weekend and getting more progress!

My latest mural creation⚡️I’m a huge Amelia Earhart fan and this is the Lockheed Electra plane she flew + a letter she’d left her husband (but the words ring so true still today, 88 years later!)

The mural design was found on the inner cover of the book and the minute I saw it, I knew I needed to enlarge and re-create it!

I had never heard of Amelia’s self-written book “Final Flight,” published in 1937. She’d mailed and wired the manuscripts during the trip—circumnavigating the globe nearest the equator, which was something neither man or woman had ever achieved. Her plane went missing at the second to last stop before completion, looking for a tiny island in the middle of the Pacific with failing communication devices.

I connect so much with her spirit of adventure and pushing forward and challenging oneself. She inspires me and I hope inspires you too!

When posted this pic today noting it’s the 102nd anniversary of Amelia Earhart breaking an altitude record (she broke many records!) alongside this quote of hers, I knew I needed to share one of my latest creations I made for the art show this past weekend. I included this quote because she is my favorite icon and was such a beautiful example of pushing past boundaries herself.

When we decide to push past our own boundaries, or those others have set for us, both real and imagined, we spark new possibilities and new paths. Going after dreams takes courage in a zillion ways - but once you get started you’ve got momentum to keep blazing forward⚡️

What a day at ! Loved talking to SO many people about empowerment through cars and stretching my creativity to do this new thing⚡️My fav part was recreating my hand art photos for others - everything from a 4 year old who “loved wrenches” to a school principal!

Thanks to all the volunteers, event organizers, fellow artists and everyone who stopped to chat! Also to Ethan & my dad for all the support they gave me through this process. I even got to do this next to my dad, who had his own woodworking booth beside me!

Never would I ever have attempted an auto trans rebuild if it wasn’t for this guy ➡️⚡️

Jeff has been my Yoda for this project—so thankful for his generosity of knowledge, experience & time. and I have been friends for a long time, but this is the first opportunity of working alongside him. Aside from the specifics of a trans rebuild, I learned a ton just picking up basic skills and tips of how he works. I look forward to sharing more on a few of those!

I’ve always really respected Jeff’s depth of knowledge and no-nonsense logic when it comes to car stuff - which if you’ve been in the auto industry, you’ll understand that logic isn’t often running the show! His motto on building stuff is and build it to drive it, which he absolutely lives out with each car in his shop. Thanks Jeff & looking forward to more car adventures!⚡️

Who’s your favorite car project Yoda? Tag them below and tell me why!
