Our latest creation has finally turned some laps at the local racetrack! From the minds and hands of the World Renowned Baddeck Facility is a brand new, fully bespoke, one of a kind, race bike.
What is it made of? We started with a Kawasaki ZZR250 twin spar aluminum frame, bolted on a Ninja600R swinging arm with a FOX Twin Clicker modernized by DMr Performance Suspension, from there we added a ZX6-RR fork also reworked at DMr. To make the fork work, Paul built a set of aluminum triple trees. When it came time for the heart transplant we grafted in a rebuilt, and breathed on EX500 engine and exhausting through a Muzzy header with Hindle silencer. This was something of a challenge, requiring all custom mounts and this engine normally sits in a steel cradle. The radiator had to be modified to fit, so we used a nice double core aluminum unit that came with our EX500 donor bike. The wheels are Honda CBR600F3 rear and Suzuki GS500 front. The brakes are ZX6-RR front and Ninja600R rear. Of course we built the subframe and upper fairing stay in house, as well as all the custom bits and bobs to make it come together. The fuel tank looks like a stock ZZR250 tank, but that’s a fibreglass cover hiding a WRBF aluminum fuel cell.
The bodywork is from TYGA Performance in Thailand, it’s a modernized style for a Suzuki RG-V250. The paint job is by Mark Willson, inspired by Aprilia.
