Friday Feature: Balancing Comfort and Capability on the Line 🚒🌲

This week, we’re taking a look outside the cab of a newly built Rosenbauer Type 3 Wildland Rig to highlight a feature your crew will thank you for on long deployments: Exterior SCBA Mounting.

When firefighters are spending days or weeks in an engine, comfortable cab seating is crucial. By housing SCBAs in dedicated exterior compartments, the crew gets maximum back support and interior room without bulky packs crowding the cab.

Even better, it doesn't limit what this truck can do! Storing SCBAs outside keeps them protected and rapidly accessible, allowing this rig to seamlessly function as a Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) engine when structural operation is needed.

Smart design means zero compromises on performance or crew comfort.

Want to learn how custom compartment layouts can elevate your department's wildland fleet? Reach out to your local IKON Fire representative today! 📲

This week, IKON Fire Sales Rep Hunter Evans traveled with the Laramie Fire Department (WY) to the Rosenbauer Group factory in Wyoming, Minnesota, for their pre-construction meeting! 🚒💨

Pre-con trips are a vital step in the build process. They give departments a hands-on look at innovative designs from the global leader in firefighting vehicles, offer great opportunities to network with firefighters from across North America, and guarantee that every detail of their custom apparatus meets their exact operational needs.

While at the plant, the Laramie team got a unique behind-the-scenes look inside the Rosenbauer EXT body and Commander chassis to see firsthand what makes the Rosenbauer product line the safest apparatus on the market.

Thank you to the Laramie Fire Department for taking the time to travel and work alongside us to bring this truck to life!
