We are looking back at the delivery photos for North-West Fire Protection District's Rosenbauer Group Timberwolf, and this machine looks incredible against the Colorado backdrop.

Designed to tackle the unique challenges of the wildland-urban interface at 10,000+ feet, it brings a perfect mix of extreme 4x4 off-road capabilities and heavy structural firefighting power to Fairplay.

North-West FPD has been a great partner of ours for years. While this rig is already hard at work protecting the community, it’s just the first of many—we currently have several more custom trucks moving down the production line for their district right now!

Operating at 10,000+ feet of elevation requires a rig that refuses to compromise. The Timberwolf is the premier wildland-urban interface apparatus, perfectly blending the rugged, off-road capability of a brush truck with the heavy-hitting structural pumping power of a traditional engine.

The excitement keeps growing for Coal Creek Canyon Fire Department! In addition to the two-door unit, IKON Fire is proud to announce the purchase of a SECOND new apparatus—a custom four-door pumper-tender! Also slotted for completion in early 2028, this twin build gives the department the added benefit of expanded crew transport while maintaining identical, heavy-duty operational capabilities.

Like its sister truck, this rig will be built on a rugged Freightliner 108SD chassis, but with a spacious four-door cab to safely carry a full crew to the scene. It features the same heavy-duty, 95-inch-wide Rosenbauer Group FX body formed from 3/16" aluminum, maximizing compartment space for rescue gear alongside a 1,250-gallon water tank. Fire suppression is backed by a powerful Waterous CXK 1,000-GPM pump.

To tackle the specific water supply challenges of the canyon, this four-door model is also equipped with a Zico fold-down 1,800-gallon portable dump tank, making it a rural water shuttle powerhouse that can instantly transition into a frontline attack pumper. Night operations will be safely illuminated by high-visibility FireTech Guardian scene lights and a complete Whelen Engineering Company emergency warning package managed by the Whelen CORE system.

Congratulations to the Cimarron Hills Fire Department on the official push-in ceremony for their new Type 3! Dating back to the 1800s when crews had to hand-push horse-drawn equipment back into the bays, this time-honored tradition remains one of the proudest moments for any fire department.

It was an honor to stand alongside these firefighters as they welcomed this new asset to the station. The Cimarron Hills Fire Department is officially stepping forward with a brand-new Rosenbauer Group Type 3, custom-built for tough terrain and local deployments. To handle the elements, it features Line-X coating on high-use surfaces for ultimate durability.

This 4x4 powerhouse is built on an International HV 507 chassis with a 360-HP Cummins L9 engine and a heavy-duty FX body. It’s packed with serious capability, including a Waterous CXK 1000-GPM pump, an enclosed streetside mid-ship control panel, a 500-gallon tank and ultra-bright Whelen/FireTech lighting.
