Let's talk Lubrication!

The Lubricion of your engine, transmission, and drivetrain components is the most common cause of compoment failure, and the easiest to prevent!

Using the right type of fluids, using the correct fluid filters, ensuring your vehicles fluids are changed regularly and on time, and ensuring all leaks are fixed in a timely manner are all crucial to ensure your engine and other components are running at their best and for their longest, if these things are not fixed, you could risk having a situation like this customer.

This customer had a 2014 Ford F350 with a 6.7L Powerstroke Turbodiesel, unfortunately they had a front timing cover leak that over time leaked oil to a point that his engine was not being properly lubricated. His Crankshaft sheared itself in half in a parking lot due to having 3 seriously destroyed Crankshaft bearings and 2 that were worn but not serious.

This customer ended up having an aftermarket warranty and after an unfortunate 6 months of waiting for the part, got a new long block engine from Ford, he is now back on the road and happier than ever!

Let's talk Serpentine Belts!

Serpentine belt failure can occur for a few reasons, be it a failing tensioner (which holds it to the components it is attached to at a precise amount of force to prevent slipping or squealing), a bad pulley (for example, one that is broken, chipped, or seized), age and wear (such as being cracked, dry rotted, or stretched), or misalignment of the components it attaches to.

This customer had a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado that had a Power Steering Pump fail and eject the center shaft, when this happened it also unfortunately took the belt with it. They got a new Power Steering Pump, new Power Steering Pulley, and new Serpentine Belt and Tensioner along with a Power Steering Fluid Service, it's now quiet and operates better than new!

The importance of getting your brakes inspected regularly cannot be overstated, failing to do so can cause accidents or potentially make a repair more expensive than it would otherwise be.

However, even if you do everything right things can still go wrong.

This customer had an 07 Jeep Wrangler that had well over 5000 miles of life left on their brakes, but also unfortunately had a Caliper Slide Pin lock up due to a prior improperly performed service, and ground one of their inner pads down to bare metal, so much so that it shot out of the braket and put their Caliper Piston to bare metal, causing a catastrophic failure.

The solution? They called Daylight Service and Repair and we set them up with a new Brake Caliper on that side, new Brembo Rotors and Pads on both axles, a brake bleed, and new Caliper brackets with slide pins on the front of the vehicle. Their vehicle now runs and drives as it should, and has never stopped better!
