🚨 ALSTON STREET BASH UPDATE! 🚨

Well… it looks like somebody forgot to tell the gas that it’s supposed to be in the tanks and not causing trouble! 🤣

Cheeseburger Randy’s is currently dealing with a gas issue at the restaurant and is working hard to get everything fixed. We’re all hoping they get it taken care of and can open up in time because, let’s be honest, those burgers are worth the wait! 🍔🤞

BUT DON’T YOU DARE STAY HOME!

The Alston Street Bash is STILL ON! We’ll be hanging out, checking out cool rides, swapping stories, and having a great time no matter what. And if Randy’s isn’t able to fire up the grill in time, John’s Gyros will be ready to save the day with some amazing food! 🌯😎

So shine up those classics, grab your friends and family, and cruise on down to Alston Street. One way or another, we’re going to make the best of it, laugh a little, eat something good, and enjoy another awesome evening together.

Sometimes hot rods break… sometimes restaurants do too. That’s just part of the adventure! 😂

🚨 ALSTON STREET BASH IS TODAY!! 🚨

Well… if you’re sittin’ on the couch wondering what to do today, we’ve already solved that problem for you.

Grab the keys to that hot rod, rat rod, lowrider, survivor, grocery getter, or that project that’s held together with zip ties and optimism… and point it toward Downtown Foley!

Starting at 4:00 PM, we’re taking over Cheeseburger Randy’s for another Alston Street Bash, where the burgers are hot, the cars are cool, and nobody cares if your paint job costs $50 or $50,000.

🍔 Cheeseburger Randy’s will keep you fed.
☕ The Drowsy Poet will keep you awake.
🍦 Yabba’s Ice Cream will cool you off.
🛍️ Lillian’s Closet has you covered if your significant other says, “We’re not leaving until I shop.”
🥙 John’s Gyros has you covered if you’re craving something different.
🌺 Stacey’s on Alston is open until 5:00 PM, so swing by early and show them some love!

This ain’t one of those fancy shows where people spend all day polishing their trailer queens with a diaper.

This is about driving your ride, hanging out with good people, telling stories that get more exaggerated every time they’re told, and pretending you weren’t the one who missed the turn because you were too busy looking at someone else’s car.

No judging. No trophies. No drama.
Just cool rides, cool people, great food, and a downtown full of local businesses that appreciate every one of you.

So wash it… don’t wash it… push it… tow it… just get there.

Alright gearheads… let’s see who’s really out there driving their classic instead of just polishing it. 😎

Here’s the challenge:

📸 Snap a picture of your classic car or truck parked in front of your favorite parts store. It doesn’t matter if you’re buying spark plugs, oil, a carb gasket, or just stopping in to remind everyone that old iron is still alive.

Then post your picture in the comments!

Bonus points if:
🔥 You actually drove it there.
🔥 It’s covered in bugs from the highway.
🔥 You had to buy something because an old car decided it needed a little attention.

Around here we believe old cars weren’t built to sit in garages, they were built to be driven.

🚨 ALSTON STREET BASH IS TOMORROW! 🚨

Well… you’ve had plenty of warning. If you’re still sitting at home polishing the lawn mower instead of your hot rod, that’s on you. 😂

Tomorrow at 4:00 PM, we’re taking over Downtown Foley for another Alston Street Bash hosted by Wastin Gas Garage!

Roll into Cheeseburger Randy’s (209 South Alston St.) with your classic car, truck, custom, lowrider, survivor, project, or whatever old heap you’ve somehow convinced is “almost finished.” We don’t care if it’s shiny or held together with zip ties and good intentions—we just want to see you driving it!

Bring your appetite because Randy’s will be serving up some of the best cheeseburgers around. Then wander around and support all our awesome downtown friends:

Believe it or not… this car was actually driving down the road with brakes like these! 😳

This is a perfect reminder that just because your car stops doesn’t mean your brakes are safe. Worn out brake parts can turn a fun cruise into a dangerous situation in a heartbeat.

We got everything torn down, and it’s definitely getting the attention it needed. Always take the time to inspect your brakes, it’s one repair that’s worth doing before it becomes a bigger problem.

Drive ’em, enjoy ‘em, but most importantly… make sure they’ll stop when you need them!

WHO’S READY TO CRUISE TO EVANSVILLE WITH WASTIN GAS GARAGE? 🚗🔥🏕️

October 12th 2026, we’re loading up the hot rods, hitching up the vintage campers, and pointing everything north toward the Eville Shindig!

The plan is simple… we’ll leave on October 12th 2026, cruise about halfway, spend the night, then roll into Evansville the following day together. Because let’s be honest… the road trip is just as much fun as the show itself.

If you’ve been thinking about making the trip, now’s the time! Bring your classic, your custom, your jalopy, your wagon, your lowrider, or hook up that vintage camper and join the caravan. There’s nothing better than a line of old iron rolling down the highway with good friends and great stories.

Can’t make the cruise with us? No worries! Meet us when you get there, and we’ll all hang out once everyone arrives. It’s going to be an unforgettable weekend filled with:

There’s no shortcut to bringing an old classic back to life.

Today we’re cutting out the old rusted floor pans on this 1960 El Camino and replacing them with fresh steel. It may not be the flashy part of a build, but it’s one of the most important. A solid foundation is what every great hot rod starts with.

Around here at Wastin Gas Garage, we believe in fixing it the right way—not covering it up. Every cut, every weld, and every hour spent means this old El Camino is one step closer to cruising the streets again instead of rusting away.

Stay tuned… this is just the beginning. We’ve got a lot more work ahead, and we can’t wait to bring y’all along for the ride.
