🚜 3rd Annual Big Rigs @ the Library! 🚒

Get ready for a morning of big trucks, big equipment, and BIG fun! Join us on Saturday, October 17th from 9:00–11:00 AM on the lawn of the Foley Recreation Department (Former Armory) for our 3rd Annual Big Rigs @ the Library!

Get up close and hands-on with the big equipment that helps keep Foley running! Kids can explore the vehicles, meet the people who operate them, and see some of the amazing equipment used throughout our community.

But that's not all! We'll also have:
☕ ReNew Coffee Truck
🍧 Kona Ice
🐐 Petting Zoo with Maynard Family Farms
🏖️ Sand piles with toys
🚜 Big rigs and equipment
🎉 And more!

This is a FREE family event and everyone is welcome! Bring the whole family and get ready for a morning of exploring, learning, and fun.

🌭 A small Alabama town with German roots has been serving up a delicious tradition for nearly 50 years!

Elberta, in Baldwin County, traces its beginnings to 1903, when a group of German businessmen from Chicago purchased approximately 53,000 acres and began recruiting settlers.

The community grew into a town proud of its German heritage. Its motto, “Das Gute Leben,” means “The Good Life.”

And twice a year, Elberta celebrates with something special!

The Elberta German Sausage Festival began in 1978 as a fundraiser for the local volunteer fire department.

Its famous sausage recipe is credited to Alfred Stucki, who managed Elberta's locker plant from 1953 until 1973.

Today, the festival brings together German sausage, sauerkraut, music, arts and crafts, and plenty of small-town hospitality.

❤️ Best of all, the tradition continues to support the volunteer fire department and local community organizations.
