Finished the party-time exhaust on the Charger project today. This was my first time attempting to weld stainless steel and it turned out pretty decent. I can’t wait to hear this thing. I haven’t posted in a while, lots of work and travel recently but I haven’t lost focus on the goal.

Party time exhaust! is cranking the volume to 11 with electric cutouts on the 470 cubic inch Charger exhaust. Can’t wait to hear this thing with open headers. Next I’ll be finishing up the rest of the electrical harness and moving on to the fuel system.

is at maximum capacity! This week a customer delivered this beautiful 1982 Jeep Wagoneer, it has loose steering which is pretty common especially with aftermarket lifts like it has. I plan on remedying that by replacing the worn factory tie rods and rag joint. In addition I’ll address some carburetor tuning issues and fix some leaks, and finally investigate a potential overheating issue which can be a real pain with this Texas heat. Follow along as I make this gorgeous Jeep a reliable daily driver!

Shop improvements continue at . Hoping to tame this heat with shop insulation and be open for more business soon!

has a new project! It’s been awhile as I have been focusing on shop improvements lately, but I found this ‘68 corvette 427 4-speed for sale online for a great price. Yesterday, I loaded up the trailer and headed to go take a look. After a 12 hour day of wheeling and dealing I returned home with an outstanding car. It is 100% rust free and complete, but it had a 454 swapped into it at some point. Follow along in the future as I restore it to its original glory. I will be doing a complete mechanical and electrical refresh, finding and building a date-coded 427 for it, and returning it to its original Le Mans blue color.

A lot of work today on the 71 Charger street machine build! Engine and transmission installed and it’s sitting on all four wheels again. Two tips I’ve tried and will use again:
1 - use tin foil to protect the valley pan area while scraping gaskets and hoisting the engine, it’s lint-free and easily conformed to the intricate profiles within the valley pan to keep debris away from the sensitive cam and lifter area.
2 - wrap your headers in plastic wrap (use a lot of it) to protect the freshly coated surface to prevent scratches while your installing them, it’s tight enough to prevent binding up and really works well to clear tight spots while manipulating the engine and headers into position. Wrapping up work on this ‘66 Mustang fastback and getting it ready to return to its owner. Work completed includes a carburetor rebuild, new fuel filter and lines, complete tune up, oil change, fixed leaks in the transmission cooling lines, and a wash and detail. I’m looking forward to the next hot rod that comes along, follow and message me for any classic American car needs.

Getting the ‘66 mustang dialed in after a carb rebuild and fuel tank cleaning. This car sat for awhile and the carb had multiple issues due to the old gasoline sitting in it. Stuck floats, clogged accelerator circuits, clogged primary/secondary circuits, and dry rotted rubber line. It’s running good after the clean and rebuild, after some basic maintenance on the engine and transmission it should be a solid driver!

Replacing axle bearings on a mopar 8 3/4” rear end. Not a fun job but the new hydraulic press came in clutch and I got it knocked out in a couple of hours. One step closer to having the Charger sitting back on the ground!
