From time to time we partner with or recommend local businesses that we deal with on the regular.......this happens to be a good friend that does quality work at a fair price. Its getting cold and he has remote starts on sale for a bit longer.....don't get into a cold car, get yourself a remote start and save the window scraping.

Kia Exploding Sunroof Class Action Lawsuit - Exploding Sunroof Investigation

This can happen with any piece of tempered glass. Tempered glass is heat treated for both strength and for safety reasons. It is incredibly strong and durable and can take a very forceful hit to its face without shattering. It is however vulnerable to an edge impact and will shatter very easily if impacted on the edge. It is also vulnerable to ceramics. Large panaramic sunroofs can flex causing stress to the glass and causing it to shatter. Most modern door and back glasses in vehicles are also made of tempered glass as a safety measure because it shatters completely and leaves no jagged edges in the event of emergency egress through the window.

We have all seen the comercials by the big national auto glass company. Well, I am about to drop some knowledge on you. Repairs DO NOT make your windshield look good as new!!! Very few repairs are nearly invisible after completion. Repairs are a functional thing, not for looks. Chips in glass are like finger prints, and each fills and clears up differently. This is a low cost option to repair your glass so as to avoid the cost of replacement. If you notice on those comercials they DO NOT show the chip AFTER repair. They also use a high pressure system of repair that is just as likely to crack that chip out and cause need for immediate replacement. We use a low pressure system that gets results and RARELY causes the chip to crack out. With warm weather coming, those chips may start to travel across your windshield due to the expansion and contraction. Call today for a low cost repair and save some $$$ over replacement down the road.

Seeing lots of posts of damage from this latest line of storms with marble sized hail from Hebron to the west side of Cincinnati. If your auto glass took damage please let us know as soon as possible. We expect higher than usual amounts of calls. Glass warehouses are closed on the weekends so if you are in need please call before 5 pm friday evening, we expect to work throughout the weekend but will need to have our glass order in by then to guarantee that we can get the glass required for your vehicle.

We have had and are going to have some nasty storms coming through the tri-state area. The east side of Cincinnati got hit pretty hard this morning. Stay safe out there folks. If you have a garage put your car in it as we may get hail. If you should take damage to your car or truck we are available to help, but we would rather hear that everyone and thing is safe and sound!!!

Your windshield is an integral part of the safety system of your car. When property installed it not only deflects your airbags to the correct position but also strengthens the body of your car considerably. I recently replaced the windshield in a car that had been shot at several times. There were several holes completely through the steel hood of the car. The windshield had taken 3 shots and none had completely penetrated to the interior of the vehicle.

Thefts from cars are up 265% over this time last year. I said it before and I will say it again, don't leave valuables in your car. If you do lock them in your trunk. If you happen to receive a broken window due to these crimes, give me a call......WE WILL EVEN CLEAN THE MESS!!!

It's Ice Missile season folks!!! With the large amount of snow thats been accumulating over the past few weeks, be on the lookout for trucks, vans, minivans, and SUVs with snow on top of them. Now that its warming slightly these can go airborne at any moment and smash into your car, causing damage to your car and your windshield!!!! BE CAREFUL! !!
And should you need my services, most windshields can be done next day, and WE CLEAN UP THE MESS!!!

We've seen a significant uptick in vandalism and thefts from cars in the last couple years. Its going to get very cold in the next week.
