: Police say 19-year-old Evan Durbin is charged in the deadly shooting last week that killed two teenagers in Flint.

A 19-year-old man from Mt. Morris is charged in the shooting deaths of two teens in Flint last week.

Court records show 19-year-old Evan Richard Durbin is facing multiple charges in the homicides, including;

Two counts of first-degree premeditated murder.

Two counts of discharging a weapon from a vehicle causing death.

One count of assault with intent to commit murder.

One count of carrying a concealed weapon.

Five counts of felony firearm.

The shooting happened on the night of Aug. 10 at the corner of James P. Cole Blvd. and Stewart Avenue.

According to Michigan State Police, a fight broke out between multiple people during a large gathering. Someone then shot into the crowd, hitting a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old boy.

The 16-year-old was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The 17-year-old was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He died the following afternoon.

Durbin was arraigned last week in district court. He is being held on no bond. He is due back in court again on Aug. 27.

The shooting was part of a violent week in , where five people, including the two teens, were killed, with others injured.

Those blue dots are some of the cameras tracking you and taking photos as you pass by 👀

Flock technology is used to grab license plates, vehicle details, and of course the driver.

While they can be useful, such as with an Amber Alert looking for a specific vehicle, many are concerned about privacy rights as they're capturing data to upload 24/7 indiscriminately.

With AI, facial recognition, hackers accessing cams and databases, does the good outweigh the potential abuse?

FLINT MAN ARRESTED AFTER DISCOVERING PIT BULL SECURITY SYSTEM COMES STANDARD WITH FREE GRILL

FLINT MI — A Flint man learned the hard way this week that not every backyard appliance is part of the city’s unofficial “take what you can carry” rewards program.

Police say 43-year-old Leonard “Lil Riblet” Barksdale allegedly hopped a privacy fence in Eastside Flint around 2:17 AM after spotting what he reportedly described as:
“a lightly supervised gas grill.”

According to neighbors, Lil Riblet moved through the backyard “with the confidence of a man who’s never once considered consequences.”

That confidence lasted approximately four seconds.

Because waiting in the yard was Flintzilla…
a pit bull described by witnesses as:
“Built like a refrigerator with childhood trauma.”

Authorities say the dog immediately activated what experts are now calling:
“The Find Out Phase.”

Neighbors reported hearing screaming so intense one woman thought somebody was auditioning for a gospel solo three streets over.

One resident said:
“That man hit notes that could remove wallpaper.”

Police say Lil Riblet attempted multiple escape strategies, including:
• Climbing a trampoline
• Throwing a lawn chair as a peace offering
• Yelling “BAD DOG” in a voice cracking like a middle school clarinet
• And at one point allegedly trying to negotiate:
“Bro please… I don’t even need the grill anymore.”

But Flintzilla was reportedly unmoved.

Investigators say the suspect eventually climbed onto a patio table and called 911 HIMSELF while the dog circled below like a furry tax collector.

Dispatchers reportedly struggled to understand him because he was simultaneously crying, wheezing, and screaming:
“HE GOT MY SLIDES!”

When officers arrived, they found Lil Riblet apologizing directly to Jesus.

The homeowner later announced Flintzilla would receive:
🥩 Two T-bone steaks
👑 Full neighborhood hero status
🔥 Unlimited backyard patrol privileges
🦴 And possibly a commemorative plaque near the smoker

Online, Flint residents immediately renamed the dog:
“The Grill Reaper.”

Moral of the story:
In Flint, you might steal somebody’s grill…

…but sometimes the grill comes with teeth.

So far is hasn't effected Michigan residents, but a lot of states have already begun to restrict the use of SNAP or EBT use to not allow certain food products, such as sodas, chips, candy, and other snacks.

It says the Trump administration is focused on healthier eating habits and nutritional foods.

I'll add a link to the states map and restrictions so far as the first comment, but curious your thoughts? 👀

Should there be no restrictions? Or a good idea for Michigan too? 👀
