Waiting on a Japan report for my Cresta. Right now with the quick run report this is what comes up for my car.
I am starting to wonder if this car was ever supposed to leave the Toyota factory. It is the only one I can find in this chassis code. Technically the body is a GX71 body, but the SX70 is a Chaser Mark II body code. It is recorded as a real version of the car. SX70 YEMES is a Cresta Super Custom, but there is no evidence anywhere that another version of this car exists in this combination.
If anyone knows a better way to find out, I am open to ideas. The internet will show that my car is the only SX70 Cresta Super Custom ever sold. It really can't be true because I have seen Super Custom badges for sale, which suggests that there might others at some time. There is a suggestion that the availability of the Super Custom ran from 1984 to 1987 through Vista. The questions are, was it a special order that no one ordered? Why wouldn't the general data come up for this car on the chassis check? Where can we find more info?
