Pondering of the morning:
We are all kind of like an egg… we are pretty useless until our shell gets cracked. Some people go through their whole life protecting their shell of belief, perspective, opinions, and way of seeing the world… they go through life thinking their purpose is to protect that shell. It’s not. When the shell gets cracked the egg becomes something. It either becomes breakfast which gives its energy to someone else or it becomes a chicken which, ultimately, becomes dinner and also gives its energy to someone else. Our purpose is to realize life is about learning and passing on our understanding of how this whole thing works… it’s not to protect our shell and make our world as small as possible. The egg, left un-cracked for long enough, spoils. Life can’t be spent looking for the reasons to maintain your shell… it needs to be spent looking for reasons to let go of the shell and become something that adds value to those you share life with. You’re going to die. Period. What good does it do to rot inside a shell and never break out?
