As the company gains momentum Soley Studios will introduce clothing lines that will address styling the issues that both men and women face. After a decade of working in retail and in the automotive industry, Nia Lauderdale founded Soley Studios, an upscale image-consulting firm that provides services such as individual wardrobe consultations, personal shopping and closet cleanings/ organizing. Nia has worked with an array of Detroit and Chicagoland based models, designers, retailers and photographers. In 2003 Soley Studios launched itself onto the world with the passion and intent to help men and women, to dress their bodies the right way, any budget, any age and stage of their lives and feel great doing it! At a young and impressionable age Tanzania “Nia” Lauderdale studied the pages of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and the Sears “Wish Book” and was fascinated with all of the beautiful dresses, shoes, accessories and models. Her Grandmother, a seamstress and her Grandfather a pianist and an artist took her under their guidance to nurture her passion and soon to be life long career. Becoming more experienced with fashion and its components, Nia always knew that she would make an impact in the fashion industry. With her educational background in Design and Merchandising and a profound interest and knowledge in textiles, Nia decided that she would take her skills and knowledge and help those around her and became an image consultant. With her passion for dressing people and knowing what works for different body types and lifestyles, she has a keen understanding of how clothing and image has an impact on people’s lives and psyche. phonetically spelled in French, for the word “sun”, has now taken on a new and stylistic meaning towards innovative trend setting, sophisticated style and most importantly positive energy.
