The UK Ministry of Defence has selected a Ford-led consortium to advance to the next stage of its Light Mobility Vehicle (LMV) programme, narrowing the field to just seven teams. The next phase will see competitors develop and demonstrate vehicle variants for rigorous trials as the British Army evaluates its next generation of light mobility platforms.

At AXCR 2026, the race truck may have crossed the finish line, but success depended on much more than speed alone.

As a proud sponsor of AXCR 2026, Ford Global Fleet Sales had the opportunity to see the Ranger Super Duty in action throughout the event.

Two Ford Ranger Super Duty vehicles carried up to 1,500kg of tools and parts, transported water and pressure-washing equipment, and travelled hundreds of kilometres each day between service points across Thailand.
