Hidden Residue Can Still Cost Your Equipment Later

This paint was washed with a standard car wash soap, then checked under magnification.

What looked clean to the eye still had tiny deposits left in the surface. That matters because paint is not perfectly flat. Small valleys can hold dirt, chemical residue, fertilizer, minerals, and contamination.

Your eyes see x surface. X surface has pigment which absorbs and reflects light within at certain rates and reflects back to the eye the spectrum we can recognize.

Polishing or detailing removes those hills and valleys making larger areas of light reflect less angles back to eyes. 😎 This also creates a challenge as paint is only allowed so thick and contains compounds to resist the chemical, UV, impact ect. Polishing opens/removes these compounds accellerating wear, not polishing leads to more labor or stronger chemical.

This client called us few months back and was tired of the spending hours cleaning his aircraft and trying product after product that never fully cleaned the aircraft.
