The Rodemerica van is in Duluth this week for Grandma’s Marathon and it’s got us thinking about one of our favorite Duluth trips.

We pulled into camp after dark, it was a little chilly, and the firewood we bought was dry on the outside but soaked on the inside from the rain earlier in the day.

After giving it our best effort to get a fire going for our traditional campfire s’mores, we finally called it.

So instead, we turned on the heater, made a bowl of popcorn, and turned it into a cozy movie night since we were still able to stream Netflix.

The next day the sunshine came out and we had the most wonderful time at Gooseberry Falls and getting our daily Betty’s Pies. 💙

A campfire, the sounds of crickets and loons in the background, and an endless supply of s'mores.

Where we'll be all summer. We hope you get the chance to slow down and enjoy it too.
