Old school tuning with some EGTs, carbs, and a custom 650 kit for this 89 exciter 570. It’s what I started tuning with before all this fuel injected tech and boy is it fun to bring back. Too sketchy to hold to 60mph with one hand though. Maybe next time!

Something different rolled onto the dyno this week… a DF Goblin!

How often do you see one of these in person, let alone get to tune it? For those who don’t know, it’s essentially a Cobalt powertrain/subframe dropped into a lightweight go-kart chassis. And yes, it’s 100% street legal.

This one’s running a K04 turbo on pump gas, tipping the scales at under 1500 lbs wet. The result? A rowdy 300whp with more torque than the rear tires know what to do with!

Definitely one of the more memorable cars I’ve had on the rollers. It’s light, raw, and an absolute riot to drive. 🥳

I’m back from vacation and excited to jump back into things!

In the meantime, I just picked up a super clean, 65k-mile bone-stock auto 1G DSM, and I’ve got a fun plan for it. I’ll be adding common bolt-on upgrades one at a time, strapping it to the dyno after each step, and tracking exactly how much power every mod makes.
