What’s Next for Tri-State Fit? 🏃♂️🏃♀️
As I put the finishing touches on the Tri-State Fit 2027 race calendar, I’ve started thinking about the future and what’s next for us.
Over the past 15 years, we’ve brought you 116 events ranging from w**e runs and 12Ks to donut runs and even our first-ever half marathon! Each event is a project of its own. From designing the logo and finisher medal to choosing shirts, selecting a benefactor, planning snacks, and handling all the little details, there’s a lot that goes into putting on a race. I take a lot of pride in what we create, and when race day arrives, my goal is to make every event as fun and enjoyable as possible for everyone who participates.
The last time I asked this question (pre-covid), the overwhelming response was to put on races that didn’t use the Evansville Greenway. While the Greenway will always be a special place for us to host events, I feel like we’ve branched out and explored as many different locations as we reasonably can.
I’ve also noticed a few recent conversations about trail runs We have a trail run we hope to bring to life in 2027.
So, I’d love to hear from you! Drop a comment below with your ideas. It could be a completely new race concept, a fun theme, a different distance, a new location, or even some feedback on the events we currently put on. We’re always looking for ways to improve and bring something fresh to the local running community.
We’ve had an incredible 15 years, and I’m excited to see what the next chapter holds. Thank you to everyone who has participated in our races, supported our events, and helped make Tri-State Fit what it is today!
