Week 5 at Escanaba Motor Speedway is complete. We were fortunate to pick up the feature win last time out in week 4. We’ve had some ok runs and some battles with inconsistent and rough racing surfaces.
This week we were working our way thru the pack when an out of control car changed lanes and door slammed us on the entry of turn 3, this damaged the bead lock ring of the right rear wheel and started to slowly deflate the tire. We held up to a late race restart and tried to charge thru the rough high lane as we were quicker than those we followed but wasn’t enough real estate to make the pass, coming home with a third place finish. The car was sitting on the rim when we got back to the trailer from tech inspection. Fortunate to finish the race!
Thankful for all those who have helped us get this car rolling this season, we couldn’t do it without all of them!
