Due to some unfortunate circumstances any mobile repairs will be on hold until I can get another rig up and going. Truck was hit on passenger side door and fender, along with hitting passenger front wheel and rim pretty hard. Thankfully I walked away without a scratch. Not getting into specifics of what’s wrong with the truck but needs more than body work to be drivable. In the meantime putting together another truck that’s going to be bigger and badder than this one. Stay tuned.

Today’s project was converting the passenger seat back (right hand drive) to be detachable for a camper conversion. There’s a first for everything and this was my first time working on a Japanese mini truck, let alone a camper conversion. After some thought and alot of modifications the seat back unpins with 5/8 hardened pins that slide into 1” o.d 5/8 I.d steel sleeves. Next modification was adapting the lower seat bottom to hinge on the lower seat mounts when it originally hinged on the seat backrest frame for battery box access. Everything all said and done functions as originally intended with the removable seat back.

I’m gonna say this is the first successful batch of hose made on this machine. 1/4”, 3/8, and 1/2” with jic fittings installed.

Had to repair some of the retaining bolts for the hose crimp dies. Fixed is fixed

Replaced fuel tank transfer valve for dual tanks in a regular customers 85’ f250. We’ve been having symptoms of loss of power running off the front fuel tank even after a new fuel pump install. Next is gas caps to see if the tanks are v***r locking, then next possibility is gas boiling in the carburetor cause the under hood temperatures are rather high with the 460 under the hood.
