I picked up a nice set of 2015 Ford Expedition wheels tonight. The ad on marketplace said they had bad chrome, but I knew that era was powder coat chrome not dipped chromium. These are really in great shape, they'll wash up even better.

Sometimes ya just gotta hop out of your truck in the drive through to smell the flowers.

This pretty rose was the only one blooming along the building at Jack In The Box. It smelled soft and beautiful like a rose should. It was breezy so I only got one photo before I had to move my truck up to the food window. Figured y'all would love a pretty flower on a Friday. 😁🤠🤙

Here's a few more mock up photos of my '78 Hilux rear bumper project. This bumper is a late '70s Ford F-150 front bumper I saved from a parts truck last year. I narrowed 7" per side, and took 2" of height out of the end wings. I'll taper the step using some cut out material. Need to trim more so it'll fit tighter to the Toyota bed. I did this because when I bobbed the bed down I miscalculated and the roll pan is too close to my hitch crossmember I built. Plus I really wanted a cool back bumper since I spent so many years driving these trucks without back bumpers.

What do y'all think? I'd love any ideas or opinions. I think it'll work great since it's all 1970s truck parts, so it doesn't clash style wise. Also the bumper is only around 20-25 pounds, similar to the diamond plate step bumper this hilux came with.

This is my friend Marc's bike. It wouldn't be as easily seen as the bright sport bikes. So BE CAUTIOUS everybody. It is easy to miss a bike, so look twice this summer. Be safe. Someone's family could depend on it. 😎🤠

It's amazing what a little hammer work can do to straighten an old truck bumper. This late 70s F150 bumper came from a truck I parted last autumn. It was fairly bent. Without any prying or bending, I was able to simply hit the high spots to fix this. I will next narrow it and shorten the ends to fit onto the back of my '78 Hilux project. I got the idea from a Ford Ranger using an Econoline front bumper as a rear. I thought y'all would like some pics of how it looks after half hour of work, and what it looked like when it was installed on the parts truck in the forest.

I will end up taking 7" out of each end of the bumper, trim its top lip to tuck tight to the truck bed, and shorten the outer wings by 2" of height to better match the bed metal. I think it's gonna be excellent. It'll be bolt on if I don't like it. 🤙😁🤠

Tech tip time: truck bed bulkhead panel repair.

Here is a simple method for pulling bent truck bed bulkhead panels out. On this 1978 Toyota hilux of mine it had a loose load dent the front of the bed somewhere in its past. Using a large jaw vice grip to grab the front bulkhead allowed me to use a pair of ratchet straps to pull from back corners. It worked great. A few pulls and releases until it was straight. Every little bit of work adds up to a nicer truck. I thought folks could use this info on their projects. 😀

Last summer I bobbed the bed on this 78 hilux. The project got side lined and pushed aside. Well today a friend helped me lift and carry the bed back onto the frame. I took 19" out of a longbed making it a 70" bed length now. I did it to more easily load engines and axles over the rear suspension. And to do a thing I'd wanted to do for years on my old longbed '78. Stay tuned, I'm working on adjusting this bed into proper fitment so I can continue the hitch and exhaust which both interact with the bed. Thanks for the love y'all.

This is the Ram/Tahoe side of the musical chairs body swap projects. The '99 Ram body will go onto this '02 Tahoe chassis. I have already lowered it, added more steering angle and adjusted it to full negative camber. Dodge didn't make extended cab trucks with 5' beds, so I'll make my own. Power plant to be determined, but leaning towards 3.9 Magnum with a five speed. I love six cylinders. And those little motors in a full-size. Anyways y'all, hope ya dig the projects and progress. I'm always open to mods and ideas too. This is the Ram with the 70s D200 dash swap btw.
