I had to show y'all today's awesome find. I got it at my favorite little local thrift shop. I was disappointed at first that it didn't work with new D batteries but it works perfectly with it's AC adapter. It's mid 1980s Sears and Roebuck brand. I have plenty of cassette tapes to enjoy, so I grabbed one of the best. Once the batteries are fixed I can use it in my D150 🤙🤠😁

When I saw this Ford Ranger with a utility bed today, I got excited. I love this kind of stuff. Compact minitrucks can be work trucks too. It had its own full bed of cargo and supplies, hence the stance.

People often over think what a truck needs to be. This 1991 Dodge D150 is enough for almost all truck duties I need around my farm. It's holding just 1500 pounds in the bed right now, first of three loads today. It's just a TBI 318 with an automatic. Trucks don't need to be so fancy and expensive, an old work truck just needs to have a cargo bed and be drivable. Now go use your trucks like trucks 😀

Today I finished a little Matchbox Dodge truck I lowered. Even the tiny ones, I enjoy modifying. I used parts from a donor truck and some craftiness. I dig it though. I was trying to get myself inspired to work on trucks today, and this was the best I could muster. Thanks for the love y'all. 😁🤠

Show me the strangest drawer in your toolbox.

This is mine, my beehive drawer. These are all from hives left by wasps in my vehicles or buildings. I tell myself I'll eventually make some kind of epoxy art, maybe shift k***s, but I just keep adding them to the drawer until then. 🤷‍♂️🤣🤪 the butterfly was found on a dashboard wings open, and I keep it in the same drawer for safe keeping and future displaying.

What's your weirdest drawer in your toolbox? I thought it would make for some fun laughs and ideas amongst gearheads. 😁

The past few days we've been tinkering on one of dads projects, his '72 Dodge D200. He got it to try and recreate his first truck he had from '85-'98. That truck was a '73 half ton he put a variety of different LA and B/RB engines into over the years, and a '74-'76 grille. So this truck wears that style of grille, and came factory with its 400/727. A year or two ago we swapped it from its factory 2bbl carb and intake to its aluminum 4bbl carb and intake setup.

We're torn between buckets or bench, and also if we should retain the cab fuel tank or convert to underbed style. But I wanted to show y'all a few pictures of how it's coming along. When others get excited, it helps fuel our own enthusiasm and energy. We're hoping to get this one able to at least cruise around our farm, if not be a town runner too. Between the two of us we have a lot of truck projects though and trying to wrap a few up before winter fully sets in. Somehow this week it's been high 70s and low 80s, in October at 2200' in WA 😳🤙🤠

I often look back on this photo I took a few years ago and I always love it. I think it came out really cool. As winter approaches, I've been thinking of adding my logo and making a hoodie for myself. I don't plan to sell them, but I'm curious if y'all think it would be neat or silly. Here's my truck tip of the day: use a toolbox for organizing ratchet straps. It keeps the UV off so they last longer, and they're all together. I roll the tails up around their hook then loop and cinch the end. It makes things even more organized that way.

Spent some time this week getting the new Toyota engines taken apart a bit. Now that they're more tidy I can begin taking them apart further to diagnose any issues they may have. The 5M was said to knock, but the 7M has rebuilder tags on it. So maybe I'll have one good runner between the pair.

If anyone needs any efi parts from either of these let me know. I have the throttle bodies and lots of sensors and bits. I'll be carb converting them if I run them in a project.

Also check out the way we move engines around, with a New Holland tractor. It allows us to get around on gravel to load and unload trucks, or place them into garage. I'll put these both onto engine stands once I get a couple more.

I saw a rad gold Jeep Gladiator J truck today while getting a Datsun 280ZX hood. I'm going to graft the hood center shape onto my long nose hilux wheeler. I like getting creative with parts mixing. Not sure exact plan with the Toyota six engines yet. If anyone needs efi parts from them let me know, they're getting carbs. 😁🤠🤙
