Pick your poison: Dodge or Chevy? They're both small block V8 trucks with automatics and longbeds. They also have custom exhausts and black 16" wheels. One is mine, one is my dads. πŸ˜πŸ€™πŸ€

I've had this truck only a few days, and I've already built a custom exhaust for it and put on nicer wheels. I also did a few small repairs and cleaned it out. Best thousand bucks I've spent all year. I'll get an exhaust video soon, I haven't taken any footage yet. I'm debating leaving it this height or putting shorter tires and lowering it down, what would y'all do? I just needed a good 318 truck to haul parts around and do farm stuff. I'm at about 150 miles on it so far. Still haven't used up the 15 gallons I put yet, so it's doing at least double digit mileage πŸ€™πŸ˜πŸ€

Thanks for any ideas y'all have, I'm open to cool vinyl stripes or other ideas. I'm gonna fix up the interior this weekend with fresh headliner, stereo and carpet or mats. 😁😎

I bought this D150 on Sunday, it's already become an excellent farm truck and parts hauler. Nearing 100 miles already, the 318 is so smooth. They're my favorite V8 ever, I've had so many. This truck doesn't have reverse, but the other four gears work smooth. I'll have a custom exhaust put on it tomorrow, and some 16x8s. I've already installed rear wheels and tires and adjusted those brakes, fronts tomorrow then muffler swap πŸ˜€ all those corvette wheels are for my Hilux, gotta reseal the bead seats from chrome corrosion. Also picked up a few other wheels today for $25, I was happy to get more C5 wheels and a 26" Iroc to make into a coffee table 😝🀠

Hope y'all are doing well, I'm finally getting caught up with projects enough to have time to post. I haven't posted much the last few weeks, just been too dang busy with farm and truck projects and family life. Much love y'all. Thanks for always listening and enjoying what I tinker with. πŸ€™

Let's see if y'all can help me ID what style of wheel this is. With so many different classic five spokes, I'm not sure. It's a 15" about 8" wide. I was considering making a rad glass top table using this old white wall tire and some cool parts for a leg/base. I only have the one and couldn't think of anything else to use it for lol. Anybody got any ideas? πŸ˜€ πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈπŸ€™πŸ€

Between barn chores and dinner I got the lowering blocks for my Volare coupe welded up. A few low spots, so I'll make a second pass and grind smooth. They're over built with 3/16" tubing. Way more than a 3200lb car needs, but they shouldn't fail like the cast aluminum ones typically sold. These are also 3.7" tall since it's a slant six 3.7L car πŸ€™πŸ˜πŸ˜

Stay tuned for lots of content this weekend, I've got a few things to show y'all 🀠😎

Here's a small update on those lowering blocks I'm building for my Volare. I split one of the 2.5" box tubes along its seam and opposite walls to make into channel that fits along a box. That will make me a 3.75" tall lowering block that the centering pin goes through three layers for alignment. I'll weld them up tomorrow when I weld a couple other things up. Figured folks would enjoy a unique way of making lowering blocks for their oddball cars and trucks. These will fit normal 2.5" wide leaf springs.

Howdy y'all, I'm sure some have noticed my lack of posts lately. I just needed some time away from phone in hand so much every day. Been wrenching and farming daily like usual, just hasn't been much to show or talk about so it was good time for a break.

Anyways, I'm gonna try and get back to regular postings showing projects. Such as this, these are the pieces of 2.5" box tubing I cut down to build into the lowering blocks for my Volare. They'll be 3.75" tall so I can add a leaf and have about 3" rear drop. I used my 14" Dewalt chop saw to cut the pieces, and my Dewalt 20v drill to bevel the edges and drill the 7/16" through holes in them. I build my blocks to bolt directly to the leaf pack using a shared center bolt. It's much stronger method and prevents any potential movements or slippage. I actually made these cuts about a week ago, just didn't get around to posting. The blocks are now almost complete, I'll show y'all tomorrow the final results.

Thanks for all the followers and friends who keep me encouraged and inspired. I appreciate it. πŸ€ πŸ˜πŸ€™
