First day home with a newborn and the wife has things under control so I decided to try to finish up a few things that we started before going to the hospital.

Brad Rumfelt upgraded a little bit and had me throw a new Garmin Marine 9213 on and a LVS42HD. So I just took it to the lake for some tuning and information gathering. Tyler Weberg tagged along for a minute so there a little trash talk and bantering as well. Sorry Brad if we caught too many fish out of your boat.

My take on this setup (he is running a 16v proguide lithium) is that the images are noticeably better on the 9213. We were able to shoot out 100ft and located and track a 3/4oz jig with relative ease. The settings we used were close to that of our current lvs34 setups.

We also discussed the imaging and how the HD version needs to be "zoomed" in, in order to get a real detailed image.

Please call me or text me if you are wanting to hear any more on this. Just trying to keep people updated on our thoughts.

We did an LVS44 install today, so I figured i should give you all an update on how I feel about these new transducers. This is my opinion, you have to make your own judgements at the end of the day. And this is not the forum to complain about how you think i should change settings. And im not a professional videographer or photographer.

The LVS44 is better than the 42 for longer range. Not much better, but it is better. I feel that I can differentiate between brush and fish better at 70-80ft. Bait tracking is slightly better at the longer ranges as well. Other than that I believe it is a slightly different version than the lvs 34. Not necessarily better, but different. I think overall it performs decent, the hardest part of both transducers is getting strong returns at long distances, which I would consider over 65ft. This in turn makes locating the bait more difficult. My work around for this issue has been to change installation depth to see the splash of the bait. The splashes come through very strong and make it super simple to locate and start tracking baits.

I haven't played with these a whole lot because I am extremely busy with other work going on, but as most people know, fishing is a huge passion of mine and I want to provide all my fellow anglers with as much information as possible. Time will be our friend with these new toys and I am positive that these will improve greatly as updates come out.

That being said, as of right now I still believe that a LVS42HD is the best move if you are looking to add livescope to your boat or change your current setup. The close range target separation is phenomenal, bottom clarity is improved and brush is crystal clear from every angle.

Cole McFarland and I will be going out at some point to do a huge comparison video where we will start to see where we can improve these new transducers. Whether it is battery type, battery voltage, screen type, transducer model, etc. We will try to throw every possible variable at these while keeping necessary constants to get accurate test results. Don't hold your breathe for thlhis video to come out as we both are busy currently and will probably be planning this closer to October.

Thank you Steve Sigmund , Drew Boehle for being guinea pigs and letting us use your boats for these quick tests. And double thanks to Drew because the fish were biting today and we caught some decent fish, sorry you couldn't be on the boat with us Drew.

Please feel free to reach out to me via text or phone calls if you have further questions. There is a video in comments that shows how bright the splash returns are.

Most dont know this, but i high horsepower pwc are in my.blood. I have built many in the past, including a shootout winner. If you want a little, or a lot, more out of your pwc, call us.

This project is just getting started and will be a big build. My guess is 88-90mph to start.
