Trailwork never ends ! This past week our volunteers along with a landowner and Cote from Pine River Excavations worked on repairing and installing gates .

First on Wednesday morning the team replaced both gate post and enlarged the gate entrance to Dibbles Hill lookout on Corridor 19. We also adjusted the location of the gates, so turning our equipment and sleds will be easier. Bob the landowner helped with his backhoe making the digging easier. Thank you Bob for all you do for the club !

Then on Friday the the team headed over to the Corridor 22 reroute from last season and installed a gate at the new landowners request. Cote from Pine River Excavation donated his time and equipment to-dig the post holes. In addition, the turn was a sharp 90 degrees…. No more, we opened the entrance in the wall wider, lowered the hump and angled the turn to more of a hard sweep. Thank you Cote for all you have been doing for the club, making some of our projects much easier to accomplish with your equipment and experience.

Watch out for special announcements regarding trail work projects this summer and fall. We are finalizing plans and agreements for another loop trail and at least two beneficial reroutes !

And as alsways, a special Thank you to our landowners, volunteers and local businesses that help make us successful..

ENHANCE and SUSTAIN what we have with SAFETY in mind.

🚨🚨 TRAIL SYSTEM BREAKTHROUGH 🚨🚨

After two years of highly classified development—conducted under the direct supervision of the club president and a hand-selected team of elite groomers, engineers, and “snow scientists”—we are finally ready to go public with what has been known internally as:

Project White Thunder™

Many of you commented this season that, despite low snowfall totals, areas like Dibble Hill, Hutchins Pond, and the Pine River Pond trails somehow had better-than-expected coverage. Some even called it “the best those spots have looked in years.”

That was no accident.

Those areas were designated as controlled test zones for our prototype mobile snowmaking unit: a fully modified trail groomer equipped with a high-output cryogenic snow dispersal cannon, onboard heated water reservoir, and a proprietary pressure-regulated atomization system (PRAS).

Operating strictly between the hours of 1:30 AM and 4:00 AM to avoid detection, the unit quietly pulled water from local rivers and ponds, instantly converting it into premium-grade “white fluff” and applying it precisely where needed. Early testing shows a 97.3% improvement in trail flatness and a 42% reduction in rider complaints about “sketchy sections.”

We were told not to say anything… but the results speak for themselves.

With Phase 1 now deemed a complete success, we are moving forward with full-scale deployment for the 2026–2027 season. The goal:
✔ Pre-build a man-made base before the first natural snowfall
✔ Achieve 100% flat, ride-ready trails from day one
✔ Eliminate early-season rocks, roots, and “surprise terrain features”

Future upgrades under consideration include GPS-guided snow placement, AI-assisted grooming patterns, and a possible partnership with “atmospheric enhancement specialists” (still in early talks).

This… is your donation money hard at work.

Thank you for your continued support of innovation on the trails. ❄️

TRAILS CLOSING

As you all know Seven Lakes is happy to make something out of nothing...if it's going to last and help us shoulder future trails when cold and snow arrives.

Unfortunately we're at that point where there is barely something to make nothing of. Despite some spats of snow and cold predicted - it won't lead to lasting conditions.

Thus we have made the choice to close all trails in the Seven Lakes network this coming Friday March 14th, 2026 to prevent unauthorized / unlawful wheeled vehicle activity and protect our landowner's interests.

Camera's are active so please help us discourage wheeled vehicles on our landowner's property in the off-season. Any improper use of trails will have photos gently posted on our FB page to help educate folks and safeguard the future of snowmobiling in our little corner of NH.

Thank you all for a wonderful season. Especially to our cherished landowners.
